Good value for short-term stays especially if you wanna be around Atocha o El Retiro.
The Check in process is a bit tedious and the room is small, only suitable for a short-term stay

Great location at a great price. Warm, quiet and comfortable.
Needs a bit of a deeper clean - a few hairs from previous residents on the cushions & stains on the sofa. Bad smell coming from the sink in the bathroom - needs some bleach.
Could also have been improved with a kettle and tea-making facility.

The room was fine and the hotel was cheap and communicated well. I liked being able to open the doors from my phone. They cleaned the shared bathroom daily, at least, which was good.
I don't think the model of "only some rooms have bathrooms" is a very good model. It just feels cheap to only install a few bathrooms and then decide "eh anyone who can't pay gets to share a bathroom" like either do all or nothing y'all. I only booked this property for the location, and I knew what I was getting into with the bathroom, but I also didn't know beforehand that some rooms DID have private bathrooms, which wasn't pleasant to find out. The bed also moved really easily while I slept, which wasn't fun. There weren't nearly enough outlets. No aircon so the entire room was stiflingly hot and opening the windows didn't help because it was 97 degrees outside. And the whole model of opening the doors on your phone is great... to an extent. If your phone dies you're locked out of your room, and without any staff on property there's no one to get you in until the cleaner comes. And then there's keypads on the door but I could not for the life of me find the code to any of them, so they were useless.
