I've stayed here many times since the 1980s. It's a great little motel with helpful staff, comfortable beds and a nice courtyard highlighted by a big salt Cedar tree. The "town" of Shoshone is pretty much the motel, the restaurant/bar, the general store/gas station and the post office. The perfect town from which to visit Death Valley.
