Clean, well appointed room. Staff were friendly. The only negative was that I read there was a pool, but you would need to go through the casino across a huge parking lot where there is a pool behind the gas station in the RV park.

Check in went smoothe and hotel desk staff was friendly. Hotel room was clean. Bathroom was impressive. Bedding was scratchy. Mattress and pillows extremely hard. Pool was a VERY long walk across the parking lot. I waited for housekeeping to bring towels after asking 3 staff members and they never came, so I finally went to main desk to get them myself, after waiting more than an hour. At the resturaunt, waiting for a server to take our orders took forever each meal, but the food was good and a decent price. Also, there are no perks from the hotel when when you book thru Expedia. Booked directly thru them, each person would have received dinner credit each night and freeplay for each person per day. Instead, the room cost %25 more, no dinner credit, and no freeplay. My friend and I take our birthday trip every April. This is one place we won't return to.

Overall a basic casino hotel. Nothing too fancy but it was very clean.

We've stayed here several times and always enjoy it. we just use the hotel, we don't gamble. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that there are a couple things with the bathroom that are not convenient. There really isn't any place to hang bath towels. There isn't a makeup mirror. A nightlight would be nice (there's light with the hair dryer but it isn't enough). Otherwise, the rooms are really nice and comfortable, the food in the Acorn restaurant is great (they've changed the menu, and the coffee is great), and staff is friendly and helpful.

Stayed there because it was the closest hotel to the house I was attending Thanksgiving at. I don't have interest in gambling or casino but just chose the closest hotel. Check in was a little longer than I would have hoped for since I had done all the check in online. When I left and realized that I had accidently left behind an item of clothing, I was relieved to discover that my daughter that was also a guest at the hotel, had not yet left for the 2 1/2 hour trip home. She was able to go to the hotel and get the item. The staff was ridiculous and refused to give her the item. Eventually and reluctantly, they did hand it over. Apparently, neither my daughter of any other of my family members who live in the area would be able to pick up the item and the only way I would be able to get it back would be to make a 5 hour trip to Oroville myself within 30 days. I've never left anything anywhere behind in the past and of course it was my fault but this was a pretty unnecessary harassment.

Everything about the property is outstanding. Room's are huge, bathrooms huge, soundproof from hallway, and neighbors great Staff makes you feel welcome. Dinning facilities excellent food great! Sports bar very comfortable. Smoke bar, very good. Overall experience 100. Hurry or take your time to experience a wonderful time ! Blessings, and thank you.

I love Gold Country Casino Resort. The rooms are always nice, clean and comfortable. Today when we arrived we were greeted with smiles which makes you feel happy. We checked in with no issues. When we got to our room I was a bit taken back by the smell of urine as soon as the door was opened. I thought it may have been the room being stuffy but the second we entered the bathroom the smell of urine was super strong. I called front desk and was immediately offered a room change and an apology. We quickly changed rooms and the new room was fine. I love the staff here they’re always so kind.

Great Staff, very friendly and knowledgeable, makes one feel right at home. The restaurants are nice, and if you're lucky to be staying on the 6th floor, the lovely restaurant Safire is right across from the elevators..and steps from your room. Rooms are quiet at night of course which is great, walls seem thin during the day, can hear neighbors. Isolated spot, so this will be your little city for your stay, and it's sure to be a very pleasant one. 5 STARS*****

The guest rooms are spacious, quiet, clean and well appointed with large spa like bathrooms. There is a noticable emphasis on elevating and attracting a clientel more inline with a top tier resort casino with visible security to maintain an environment that is hassle free and more appealing and comfortable for this audience. Kudos to both management, staff, and security as the venues were noticeably busier and harmonious. Food services offer both quiet, intimate, entrée focused dining, and a lively sports focused varied menu ranging from sharable appitizer plates, burgers, tacos, sandwiches, and salads, and a huge 25ft big game screen.

It was a nice and quiet hotel. We enjoyed dining and drinks along with a little gambling. Every employee we came in contact with was very nice and helpful. The rooms are huge and very clean.

Rooms are spacious however they need to update the wood vanity cabinets in the bathroom. A lot of missing or dings wood pieces made the bathroom look like a bathroom from a shady side of town. The new pillows are too thick- we were not able to sleep very comfortably.

This is a hidden gem. We came for the 4th of July and they had many firework displays visible from the building thru the windows and the balcony. The room was large and spacious and very clean and fresh. We got upgraded to a room with a whirlpool tub and it was great. Just what was needed after a long drive. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The food at the pub was awesome. I ordered the brisket plate and got some of the best tasting tender meat I have ever tasted. I will definitely be back soon.

Went to see a concert there. Staff was friendly from the moment we walked in from the cocktail waitress who directed us where the concert hall was, to the staff at the concert venue, to the registration clerk when checking into our room and the gals at the restaurant the next morning. The room was large, clean, quiet and updated. Bathrooms are huge and very nice. Better pillows would be a plus. Overall wonderful stay. Also great parking close to the entrance was nice.
