Very noisy in high level room from building plant room, won’t be back

Good location, excellent service and lively bar on the ground floor but the bedroom was disappointing especially given that we had paid extra for a deluxe room. Access to the double bed on one side was very tight and the duvet was very thin with no blanket despite it being in the middle of winter so we had to turn the heating on to the maximum setting overnight to keep warm. It seemed impossible to have a shower without flooding the bathroom floor.

Amazing hotel! Great location! Great service upon late arrival from the girl with blonde hair and manager. The girl went even so far as to provide us emergency toiletries like toothbrushes and toothpaste since our luggage was lost. Would have been a 5/5 if the girl with the dark hair working front desk checking out had been as friendly as everyone else. I would most certainly stay here again but with hopes of not having to deal with the particular employee who “helped” us check out.

Bathroom slider door full of toothpaste, looks like it never gets cleaned, we cleaned it. Dust on furniture. I thought in these days of covid, and deep cleaning, you wouldn't see things like this, but you do. Otherwise,great stay. Disappointing in level of deep cleaning.

Excellent stay. Very friendly and helpful staff member at check in. No hesitation in agreeing to our request for a 1 hour extension to our checkout time which was extremely helpful for our ongoing travel arrangements. Room was very spacious, extremely clean and had everything required for the modern day traveler. Will certainly return.

Fantastic stay here for the Christmas markets. The location was excellent. Beautiful Christmas decorations.

I loved the property's theme of famous media and sports stars. the facilities were good for the most part but because of the time of year (Christmas) we couldn't access the resident's lounge in the evening because it was booked for private Christmas parties. The staff were al very helpful and friendly and I would certainly recommend the hotel and go again.

lovely place in great location to major tourism sights. cosy public areas

Room is not fit to let if there is a high wind as there is a constant rattle/banging within the wall/ceiling.(Alex Ferguson room). Breakfast very average. Bar/restaurant area completely overrun by non residents in the evening.

Great location, lovely building & decor.

The hotel itself was pleasant and well located. Bed was not the comfiest and the noise from the bar downstairs and the local establishments around kept us up until 5am. We wouldn't be rushing back.

Very nice 3day break. Hotel is ideally placed at the top end of princes street in Edinburgh so great for new town and a 10 minute walk up to old town and castle etc. We was in the Gordon Ramsay room, a bit small but was comfortable and quiet. The bar downstairs was great and being able to sit in the lobby by the fireplace was spot on. All the staff were friendly and pleasant and helpful with the local buses etc for the zoo. I would definitely go back but probably upgrade if possible to a bigger room.

Nice hotel for the value. My room was by the side/back alley, therefore,it was noisy during the nighttime on a few occasions. The room was also a bit warm, and the noise outside prevent Ted me from opening the window. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

This is the second time we have stayed at the angels share, and again was great! All the rooms are named after Scots which is a nice touch, food in bar downstairs is discounted when you stay so is good value. Highly recommend this hotel and we will be back again

Near the pram and walk to the castel

The location of the hotel was ideal. We walked from train station with our suitcases. The room was cute but tiny. The staff were very helpful and we took advantage of a very reasonably priced breakfast as well as a discounted dinner meal. The only issue we had was the outside temperature and inability to regulate the inside temp. Because the hotel is in the heart of the city, it is pretty noisy outside esp on weekend. The windows could be raised a little however then the noise couldn’t be contained. The room was very hot even with a fan provided. Also, the curtains were very thick which was great to keep out all the night lights however when closed, there was no air coming in from the outside. That part of our stay was not comfortable. It was very hot yo sleep. Possibly it could be better if your room is not directly facing Hope Street, therefore less noise and possibly less light coming in!

Friendly staff. They moved my room when I complained about the heat in the one I was in. The new room was just as hot though.

Large clean rooms, attentive staff, great attached dining & bar

We found the Angel’s Share a great place to stay for our annual trip to the fringe. Couldn’t find any faults and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming

Room very small, no room for bedside table. Safe, althouhh required, was down at floor level. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, central to a lot of Edinburgh. Room was ok, not very spacious but did ok. If booking again would have upgraded. Staff very friendly and attentive. Bar is beautifully decorated and live music was great during staff. Kitchen was closed for renovation so we didn’t get to sample food. Would recommend hotel.

A beautiful, clean, modern boutique hotel in a great location. Close to shopping and train station on Princess St and pubs and restaurants on Rose St. Will definitely return.

Great location near public transportation, dining, shopping and sightseeing. The staff was friendly, and the room was cozy. We enjoyed our stay at the Angel Share. There isn’t much space for toiletries or suitcases, but we weren’t in the room much anyway. Great plus: windows that open in both the room and the bathroom! The hotel is definitely in the midst of things, unfortunately that also means some street noises at night.
