I want to start by saying the staff was very helpful and accommodating. However our stay had a few ups and downs: - When we checked in the room type we booked was not available (booked a 2 queen room). We were offered a single bed room and we were moved into the correct room type the next day by 11 am. - The on-site laundry facilities are under construction for the foreseeable future. Considering February is peak season and you tend to pack a lot of heavy clothes I wanted to use the laundry to reduce how much I had to pack. This was disappointing. - The onsite restaurant is closed for equipment updates. Not sure how long they will be closed. That means no room service. - Checkout time on the hotels.com website is noon. It is actually 11 am according to the hotel. However the staff let us check out at noon. - Room cleaning is by request. I understand that since most of us are out until 3 AM watching the northern lights and sleeping in until noon. That said it took multiple calls to get refreshed towels, trash bags, paper cups, toilet paper, etc. The staff did give us the first night free since it was the wrong room type. That said it took 3 days of coordinating between hotels.com and the front desk to get the refund processed (we pre-paid for the room). I just got the confirmation for the refund from hotels.com before writing this review. The location is great, the interior is a bit beat up, but the price was reasonable compared to other properties.

Room was 7/10. The property directly in front was covered with cigarette butts mostly from. military guys, they should be ashamed of themselves. The restaurant needs some updating or something. Very friendly staff but food and ambience just doesn't cut it.

Hotel is old but comfortable. Has a Chinese restaurant on the 3rd floor so is convenient if you need food without going out when it is cold. Great staff there

Didn't like the check in was in a different building and didn't like the parking. Had to park in the back alley and carry luggage around to the front door in the rain.

When we arrived we asked to see the room first. They denied our request. The place is an eye sore and the lobby had a weird ofor. Reason for our request to see the room. We simply walked out.

Rooms were disgustingly hot, no fans, bathroom had hair in the bathtub and found hairs under the blanket. Some staff were polite while others were welcoming.

Staff is very friendly and easy to communicate with. Taxi vouchers provided to and from airport. Daily necessities are available upon requests at the front desk. Computer and printer at lobby is currently unavailable. Restaurant at the hotel is pretty good. Note that they own two buildings; one of them is across the street without elevators. It might be wise to check with the hotel the room type that you're interested in is at the main building or the secondary building.

Given the wrong room key. Our room was across the street in another building that had qhad no parking, we weren’t given this information when we checked in. After we couldn’t find our room had to walk across a busy street back to the main building to find out which room we were in and very little help given by front desk clerk who eventually gave us the right room key. We were given a room on the 3rd floor with no elevator in the building. The carpet in our room was very dirty. There was only decaffeinated coffee.

It was close to town (good) Deluxe suite - cigarette burns in the carper. The kitchenette looked like it was supplied with items from the Thrift store across the road. 2 - glasses, one plastic 1 bowl 2 plates 3 small plates - all different The refrigerator was broken - unknown for how long Grout missing from the bathtub 32" TV(?) not properly set for screen size - I tried, 3 setting were bad, badder and worse The restaurant on the 3rd floor was messy, with food, most likely from the previous night on the floor.

We booked a king room but without asking we were upgraded to a deluxe suite with kitchenette and couches. The room was spacious, very clean and a very comfortable bed. The location was very convenient to Old Town and New Town - right in the middle of it. Lots of pubs and restaurants in walking distance.

The building is old so the walls and floors must be thin or wearing out because we heard our neighbors and people above us constantly. Its located downtown but there arent many restaurants in walking distance...unless you want asian cuisine...there are LOTS of asian restaurants. Taxis are easy to get though.
