The breakfast was more than could be expected! Pots of coffee, cereals, pastries, yogurt, jams and jellies and this was before the main menu. I had traditional English breakfast which was fabulous. Easy street parking clean comfortable rooms, why stay anywhere else when visiting York?!!!

No hesitation in recommending this guest house.
It's just outside the centre, and the walks to/from are pleasant, passing by pubs and rows of shops whichever way you go.
The guest house itself is charming and cosy, and I got two good nights' sleep on the bed. Everything was clean and tidy, the tea/coffee/biscuit selection in the room was up my alley, and the entire process of checking in/out etc was seamless and easy.
The staff are kind and friendly, personable without being intrusive, and left me with a good impression and warm feelings.
Next time, I will take greater advantage of the breakfast bar.
