Good location close to the lake and near the ferry boat dock.
Very nice breakfast.
Restaurant didn’t open at all on our first night.
Staff we did see were friendly & helpful but they are very few in numbers and the reception isn’t staffed.
Close to the lake is good but the Main Road along the lake runs right along the hotel and is quite noisy at times.

Family run hotel that feels so welcoming, with an excellent restaurant. Right next to the ferry and bus stops, though quite far from Lucerne city

Good lake view bedroom with comfortable balcony. We loved the access to the lake and the garden with comfortable seating and pier. There was a small bar so we could have a relaxing drink there too. Easy access to busses and boats for sightseeing and close to gondolas etc. Breakfast was good and there were 2 restaurants on site. Tea and coffee facilities in The room were appreciated.
Corridors are a little gloomy but our bedroom had been nicely updated.

This hotel is a mixed bag. Here are my ratings and comments
5 - Right on the water with great views, right in front of ferry terminal and ticket office

3.5 - Rooms are dark. They need more lights. Room was in good shape otherwise.
There is no AC so the room was hot even in September. This hotel is not recommended in the summer or when it is hot. Nights did not cool done much.
Smoke from restaurant below rises to the balconies above so you cannot use the balconies in the evening if you do not like breathing others smoke
4.5 - Breakfast good but same food every day. The first day 1/3 of the tables were reserved for dinner, 1/3 had dirty dishes and the rest were occupied. Breakfast was very understaffed. No one to welcome you in and tell you how to find everything. I made a stink and things improved. The removed the reserved seating for dinner and opened it up for breakfast.
2 - Hotel management poor. No one is ever at the check-in desk. Just a phone at the podium.
Only one hotel employee. He works really hard and is nice but he is never around and seems to do everything in the hotel.
Check-in is done by restaurant staff that admit they do not know anything about the hotel. Why is no one in the hotel at check-in time?
Had to wait 2 hours to check out because hotel employee was out. Restaurant check-in person gave incorrect info out about parking. Second restaurant staff said we did not have a parking reservation. Told that the rooms have an info sheet that explains how everything works. That is incorrect, it does not exist. Safe does not work unless you get the key from the hotel employee that is normally not around. Elevator does not work some of the time.
Whoever owns this hotel has to hire more than one part-time employee. No one is ever at the check-in desk so you can never ask a question.
They need someone to straighten out this hotel. Publish information sheets in every room, have an employee most of the day at the...
