Hotel Walhalla

My wife loves your hotel. She is doing an Executive Management Program at St Gallen University. For all her trips to there she stays in your hotel. Also some of her friends from the same program stay in your hotel too.

This time the receptionist who did her check in was not so friendly. My wife had a group visit at the St Gallen Abbey and a dinner with her university team so she wanted quickly check in and leave her trolley in the room. She had two colleagues at the reception area as they were going together to the abbey. This receptionist said you can check in with my colleague. My wife said these are friends who are not staying in this hotel. At the elevator area she met another university friend and they went up to leave the luggage in their rooms. This friend didn’t know that you can get at the reception a voucher for the bus with the city tax payment. So my wife explained it to her in the elevator and they decided to get the voucher when they go down. When they came in 5 minutes down to the reception my wife told the same receptionist who did her check in that her friend needs also a voucher. In a sarcastic and unfriendly way this girl told to her friend ‘You don’t stay in this hotel therefore you don’t get a voucher. ‘ She said ‘I just checked in and stay in the hotel but didn’t get my voucher.’ The way this receptionist talked to her was very unfriendly… it never happened in this hotel to my wife … My wife talks about the friendly staff at the reception, breakfast area etc so she was very disappointed how it happened to her colleague who stayed first time in this hotel and had such an experience … My wife didn’t want to give bad score to the staff as she was happy with the service of all other staff and other receptionist who was there yesterday afternoon … she just wanted to share the incident as a constructive feedback for improvement …

Very convenient location, just across from train station.

A little dated facility, could use a little more attention. But not much of an issue, just noticed that it could be better.

Beds were too high. Pillows way to soft. Mattress keep getting separated in the middle
