While staying there was construction that began the morning we arrived, which resulted in the water being out for half a day, and even the following day no hot water.
The room was okay; the bed was big and clean, the bathroom was nice, but the room's floors were cold concrete without any rugs or mats.
The location is in Koreatown, which means the nights don't feel dangerous as you're coming in to the lobby, and the mornings are not too busy as you're heading out.

The Life Hotel is in an excellent location. The hotel was clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were always on hand to help. I would definitely stay there again.

Great check-in process! Excellent customer service at the front desk.

Really great room, super comfy bed and lovely bathroom, had blackout blinds and was fairly quiet. Would go again!

Nice and clean. Perfect location for tourist.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The only issue was the noise. The radiator clicked throughout the night, and was very loud. The city noise was not bad, normal for being in the location you are. If you are used to radiator noises, this probably wouldn’t be an issue but I found it difficult to sleep.

This was a great stay for my family of 5 (3 are teens). We checked-in late and the front desk person was really nice, hooked us up quickly with the bedding for the couch. The whole place was clean—room was really clean, the bathroom, etc. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows great too. The neighborhood is good—so close to Broadway theatres. Rockefeller Center, and Times Square.

Room was small no coffee maker, elevators are too small and very slow, shower makes loud noises when on, some lights did not work overall is an ok hotel for location but not a great hotel or boutique and not worth over $200 at night for a room

The first thing that struck me was the strong fragrance when I entered my room. Like someone went crazy with the Febreze! Overall it was a nice room, but the bathroom was a bit small for me. (My shoulders almost touched the side walls when I tried to use the sink. Very cramped feel.) The bed was comfortable, but the springs in the frame were super squeaky. Nice enough, but I won't be rushing back.

Pleasant room. Soft bed. Elevators are slow. Good location near Penn Station.

It was great, I was so sad to leave. I love the bathroom was vintage cute. Loved the brass bed and bedding pillows were so comfy. Quiet, friendly staff who held my bag and use the restroom even after I checked out after walking the city all day. Love the uniqueness of the old building.

Very nice hôtel with an incredible history. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Close to every major attraction in a walking distance.

One of the more spacious rooms I’ve stayed in in Manhattan. The available parking is 3 blocks away which is far for loading and unloading with children, but very convenient in terms of city use. The room was comfortable, well stocked and the staff was helpful

Surprisingly roomy for NYC. Very quiet and comfortable, with a great shower.

Great hotel and great location for what we wanted to do. Room was really clean and comfortable. Only issue was there was a lot of noise over night. Sounded like it was coming from the heater, but otherwise, would definitely stay here again

The hotels bar and restaurant is currently closed so we had to walk down the street to get water and snacks. For the price, this place was wonderful though! We had an ac/heating unit in the room. The shower pressure felt amazing. They have half renovated it..it’s an all marble bathroom and large but it looks like it still needed some fixes as the towel bar was hanging by a thread. We were given two towels and they happily gave us a few extra when needed! No carpet anywhere which was nice. Great area and an 8 minute walk to the subway. In Korea town so yummy food all around!

The hotel was lovely and our room was beautiful but too small for 4 people. The bathroom was beautiful snd clean but also very tiny. I’ve stayed in boutique hotels before and while aesthetically pleasing our room was definitely lacking in space. No dresser to put our clothes in, the closet barely fit our jackets and we had to put our second suitcase on the floor. We also didn’t know the bar and eatery were still not functional/available. Location is great. We would definitely stay here again but will definitely book a larger room.

- This is the most terrible hotel I have ever stayed in my life.
- You hear the a very loud disturbing mechanic noise of the elevator every time it was in use. During the night, every time somebody uses the elevator you wake up because it is so loud. I am NOT a light sleeper. I told this to hotel staff but they refused to change the room. They lied about all rooms being booked.
- There was no window in the room. I cannot believe this.
- The walls are extremely thin, whenever hotel staff talk/laugh during the night you wake up. Again I am NOT a light-sleeper.
- This was the most terrible hotel experience I had in my life. So I want a full refund. Otherwise I will get in touch with the authorities about the terrible conditions and lack of window in the room and share my comments at relevant places.

Location is perfect, but not recomended to stay here, if you are sensitive to noise. It is an old building and the pipes and ventilation is extremely loud. We were moved to another room, as they are aware of noise, so they were friedly to move us.
Reception area looks like it is under construction. Empty bar and restaurant are not in service at all.

Nice hotel, good location. Rooms are nice, bathroom was not particularly clean but fine. No ventilation in bathroom so gets very steamy and wet!

Good value, but walls are thin. A little dirty as well.

Staff: kind and helpful people. Definitely will be back

We had a 3rd floor room w a window loking to a terrorific giant ac in the middle of lil hole of the building
The window was impossible to open
The heater is central so if you need cool air and can’t opend the window, you have the ac , the point is that the ac in exactly in in your face
Conclusion…. Im writing this at 3.30 am after all day walking around NY 😖😩😖😩

Great location and great decor - shame that the bar isn’t open

The location for the price I paid was amazing! The details of the outside of the building right into the room , Goregous! Only thing I did not like is a man knocked on Ny door shortly after I checked in stating he heard noises in my room and insisted I opened the door for him because he heard drilling. I absolutely did not open the door and called front desk. Other than that I have already recommended it to everyone I know.
