During our three-week trip to Italy, we stayed in ten different hotels, and I would rank Affittacamere Casa Danè at the bottom of the list. That does not mean it is a bad property - all the hotels we booked had excellent ratings. The location is excellent, just a two-minute walk from the train station. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and a complimentary breakfast voucher for a nearby café was included. The lower ranking is mainly due to convenience. Our room was on the fourth floor of an old building with high ceilings and no elevator, so carrying our luggage upstairs without assistance was difficult. Another minor inconvenience was the lack of complimentary bottled water. Almost every other hotel we stayed at provided bottled water, which was especially appreciated during the hot Italian summer. The hotel also asked for our arrival time, which we provided and adhered to. However, unlike almost all the other hotels we stayed at, the air conditioning had not been turned on before our arrival, so we entered a very warm room after walking in the summer heat. Checkout was at 10:00 a.m. While I understand that late checkout is not always possible, the property also did not offer luggage storage. As a result, if you want to continue exploring La Spezia after checkout, you have to use the paid luggage storage at the train station. Overall, a good property, but the lack of an elevator, luggage storage and a few thoughtful touches affected our experience.

Very nice property, next to the station, very nice rooms and service. The only thing to keep into consideration is no elevator (which may or may not be an issue) depending on your luggage. Highly recommended.

Cons: No lift, so be prepared to carry your bags up two very big flights of stairs. Floor of room was dirty with hair and dust. Pro: great location within the stations. Free luggage storage available.

Excellent location, at the station itself! The Air Conditioning saved us in the scorching summer heat, and we were welcomed into a small, yet clean room. The bathroom was spacious and also clean. The staff were super helpful and kind throughout. Parking was not the best, but worked well. Thank you for all your kind support! You were great!

Very nice property, next to the station, very nice rooms and service. The only thing to keep into consideration is no elevator (which may or may not be an issue) depending on your luggage. Highly recommended.
