The staff was incredibly friendly, location was great, and rooms were spacious and comfortable. The hotel is in walking distance of Northwestern, as well as wonderful restaurants.

The on-site manager was very accommodating and helpful, however, the downstairs lobby was all but uninhabitable because it was so cold. This made relaxing at the bar like sitting outside.

My recent stay at Hyatt House was a delightful experience, blending convenience and tranquility seamlessly. The suite, featuring a small kitchenette and two queen beds, was perfect for our small staycation group.

We stayed at the Hyatt House for 7 nights. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. One thing we really appreciated was the daily housekeeping.

This was one of the best hotels I ever stayed in. The staff (including the valet parkers) were polite, professional, courteous and more than helpful. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was really a full service breakfast.
The downside, which to me could be a deal breaker, was the bathroom was in the bedroom. We had a beautiful suite, but having the bathroom was the most inconvenient bathroom I have experienced in a hotel. Whether one of us wanted to get up early and shower and get ready, or stay up later than the other, we felt we couldn't. Also if we had to get up in the middle of the night, was a problem!

Location is great. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Gym was open 24 hours which is convenient. Negatives- gym not maintained as wipes ran out, water cups ran out and no towels available. Room though clean, needed upkeep as light was falling from ceiling, bathroom fan did not appear to work and shower faucet handle felt like it was going to fall off. There was a lack of communication about how much valet parking would be and how often the room would be cleaned. Overall we enjoyed the hotel and would stay again.

Disappointed when it came to eating at your restaurant. I was concerned when the person managing the front desk was the person preparing our meal. I forgot to mention when we checked out that the drain in the shower of #412 needs to be cleaned. After your shower you're standing in an inch of water because the drain isn't working well.

Booked a suite and was told at check in that there was a maintenance issue with the room I booked. And I was downgraded to a studio. The only compensation I received was a couple free drinks at the hotel bar. That did not cover the difference in price or the experience for my family

It was a very tranquil environment in a good area with immediate access to some unique food locations as well as shopping and entertainment. My privacy was respected, no noise complaints when my company was being rather loud and festive and accommodations were made when asked

Disappointing stay experience! The room is very large, more than 500 feet, but the room is empty, the simple white walls have no wallpaper, no decorative paintings, no curtains, black roller blinds to let in light, the furniture walls in the room are black and white and cold, not warm, and the TV is 35 inches? or 40 inches? Very small, no sofa chairs, tea tables, very little furniture. The bathroom is very large, the layout is very strange, the shower room is small, the washbasin is small, the usable countertop is very small, the countertop of the washbasin is a very bad yellow color, and the stainless steel trash can next to the toilet is full of dirt. The room key card given by the front desk at check-in cannot open the room door. Return to the front desk to re-enter the information, and go upstairs again to use it normally😓... Breakfast is very simple. At 9:30, the guests cleared up their plates and closed their meals before they finished eating. When I checked out, the front desk staff charged me 39.7 dollars for parking fee per night. When I made the reservation, the order stated $30 per night. I asked why so much money was deducted? Asking me to show the reservation website information to confirm the parking fee is so unprofessional! After confirming that the parking fee is $30/night, I promised to refund the overcharged $9.7, but I checked the bank card and found that only $4 was refunded. This is the worst Hyatt I've ever stayed at!

This was our second time staying here. The location is perfect with many restaurants and shops within a few blocks of the hotel. The rooms were very clean, and the hotel is both quiet and comfortable. The breakfasts were very convenient as well.

Good access to shops and cafes. Also near to beaches and the university. Free breakfast buffet and nice lobby bar. The clock did not have a radio, but I bring my own. A nice choice in Evanston

I appreciate the location and proximity to shops--very walkable. Hotel overall is cosmetically updated but, the walls between the room are PAPER thin. We could hear EVERYTHING. There's supposedly quiet time starting at 10 pm. We had kids in the room next to us that were literally screaming and loud until 1:00am, despite 3 noise complaints by us. (2 of which were to front desk staff directly). Your non-refundable pet fee is obnoxious. I've stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels downtown Chicago that require a refundable (if no damage done) pet deposit, which is totally understandable, since pets can have accidents. However, if your pet does absolutely no damage to the room, why are you charging me $75 to have my dog spend the night? We will never stay at this property again.
