This is a wonderful inn with a fantastic breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful and the place is beautiful— and right across the street from the castle. Excellent restaurant associated with the hotel too, just down the street.

A very characterful hotel situated in the moat of a castle. Splendidly enjoyable rooms and a kind, attentive staff I can't praise enough.

Obviously recently renovated with period furnishings to match the era. Amazing breakfast, by far the best I have had recently.
Location is unbeatable, right at the gates to the fort. The ladies couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. For a period hotel, this cannot be better, especially the lovely top floor library.
