Great place for the price. It had a great view and easy access to the beach. (The beach is a little rocky, fyi) Plan on the bare minimum when it comes to amenities though— we had to ask for towels and toilet paper each day since nothing was stocked, but that wasn’t a dealbreaker. The staff was friendly and it was nice to have the free breakfast option.

We had two suites for moms and teenage girls for our Girl Scout day trip to Catalina. DJ at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We had two suites that were very spacious and accommodating for our group. The girls slept in the suite which had a room with two king beds, then a pull out couch. They really enjoyed there stay there and having room to hang out and enjoy themselves. They enjoyed the jacuzzi and balcony with ocean view. The bed I slept in was a bit too firm and uncomfortable, but for one night it was fine. Free breakfast in the morning was also a bonus for a private hotel like this. We would restart here again and would recommend.

Very disappointing. Very noisey. Absolutely no sound barrier between floors. TV bedroom not working. Lovely location. Def rooms need major upgrading and soundproofing. Photo looking out entry door at night.

Everything about the place was great until I got in the bathroom and it was looked like it had not been cleaned and had hair all over the place.

The description was misleading. It said balcony with oceanfront and it was on the ground floor.

Great vacation, good location near beach. Hotel staff was very help and friendly, we had a beautiful view of the ocean. Hotel was room was clean and updated, we really enjoyed at stay and plan to go back again.

Disappointing hotel. Pool condemned and no one would clean room and we were ther 3 days. You have to go find towels.

We went for a one-night stay. There was something sticky on the floor in our suite which says that the cleaning was not thorough. The room was very spacious and the ocean view was lovely. The price was very good but I would not stay there again. In addition to the lack of cleanliness, the doors to the bedroom and the bathroom do not stay open without propping them open with the trash can or your luggage. Walls and doors need painting as it appears they do not clean them. The noise of the train going by may disturb you. It’s a busy track with both freight trains and passenger trains. Lastly, the mattress is of extremely poor quality—very hard and noisy every time you get up or turn over. Very uncomfortable even if you prefer a firm mattress.

Location of the hotel is great, service was good and quietness from outside noise was good. The room we had was very small, the bathroom was noisy with a toilet that ran all night even after adjusting the lever, the floor around the tube looked molded and the light would cause anyone to develop epileptic seizures how it pulsated. Overall stay was good. I would return but I would ask not to stay at the very top rooms.

Charged smoking fee and we did not smoke at all, literally. Photos sent showed no smoking & are refusing to refund fees. Never in my life have I dealt with something this obscene..BUYER BEWARE

We did not get anything we felt we had booked. We booked an ocean front room and received a postage stamp view with very limited views. We're told they don't book which rooms they assign until the day before arrival. The bathroom fan was so loud it woke up the person sleeping during the night. We booked 4 nights and checked out after the first night and moved directly next door to a beautiful beach front room at Best Western which was wonderful. Beachfront Inn was a terrible experience. On a scale of 1 to 10 it barely rates a 1

Check in was poor, service was poor. Room had broken lights and loud ac. Pipes banging through out the night. Breakfast was poor. Metal door bar coming away from bathroom floor. Cracked tiles. Bathroom light didn’t work. Someone left food in the toilet. Used coffee bag left in the machine and room just not clean. Reception did nothing. Over £100 for the night and terrible. No bar, no food, no service. Had to go next door across the street to another independent bar that was loud for food and a drink.

The room was lovely, my oceanfront view was incredible. The breakfast that was provided was alright. Unfortunately while on our stay the jacuzzi was shut down do to unproper maintenance. :(

Did not stay the night because someone entered our room while we were out. The front desk gentleman was very understanding that we didn't feel safe staying overnight and we were not charged for the few hours we were there. He was very friendly, but the photos do not live up to what our room looked like. We figured we could deal for 1 night, but then someone entered our room while we were out. Nothing was taken, but that was just not ok.

!it was right on the beach. Beautiful sunsets and long shoreline. There's a good Mexican food restaurant very close as well. Breakfast at the hotel is decent and there is coffee in the rooms.

Overall stay was great. Had great view of the ocean from our room. Staff at the desk were sociable and helpful. A couple minor things they can work on are the upkeep of the building itself like chips on walls better placement of the tv in the room. One complaint away from the property itself is we stayed on the second floor out of three possible floors and the neighbor we had above us had to have been wearing wooden clogs (floors are wood/vinyl) and constantly running around and stomping at very inappropriate times from 6am-2am. If you know you are heavy footed don’t stay above others as courtesy and decency. Again overall we loved our stay and we will be returning for future vacations.

It was good, I choose a room with beach view, but they give me a room in the first floor and the view was the hot tub and the patio and the beach only a little bit, I was wondering a room but beach view because that’s what that I paid for it.

This place was very comfortable and clean. It has an amazing ocean view from the hotel. The room itself was very spacious. The only thing that we didn’t like was that the front desk didn’t notify us that there would be construction going on right next to our room in the morning. Overall great place to stay with family.

There was construction going in the entire time. Even on the weekend. There were boards up everywhere. Plastic taped areas. It was pretty low quality. The hot tub facing the sunset would have been even better if the hot tub worked properly.

Great place to stay in with beautiful views and comfortable beds. We loved being so close to the beach! The front desk person was friendly and made my husband and I feel valued as out of town guests the moment we walked in. Only downfall was the hot tub wasn't working which was a bummer because it would've been perfect soaking with the view of the ocean. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an ocean front view in Dana point!

THis hotel is in a fabulous location but needs a big update. They are in the process of updating the outside. When we arrived, the elevator was not working, the jacuzzi was not working and the room that we had had a pull out bed with a mattress that was cheep and you could touch the coils. Why do that to a guest? We upgraded to a room with 2 kings that had a comfy mattress and good quality sheets. The room was great but we had to really pay for it.

Property is dated and part was being remodeled. Not bad for a cheap stay by the beach. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet except when upstairs neighbors were banging and stomping around.

We were supposed to have a luxury ocean view suite with a balcony. We received a ground floor unit and the patio was part of the main area surround. The ocean was slightly visible but definitely no romantic sunset on 5he balcony. Air conditioning was noisy, the guests above or outside sounded as though a stampede was going through, and the bar in an adjoining building could be heard late into the night. The next morning, the early arrival of a garbage truck dumping all of the glass bottles from the bar woke as fully. Half of the building was under noisy renovation due to the replacement of posts and beams due to termite damage. None of this was included in the Hotels.com listing and the room did not appear to be discounted. In short, it was not up to the romantic interlude we’d planned in a luxury ocean side suite.

Hotel was ok for the price. I would like to ask them to add mirrors to the room, we had only the bathroom mirror. No extra blankets. Bedroom was spacious.
