My husband and I deeply appreciate Hale Maluhia Country Inn and all of the courtesies. The staff and owners went above and beyond to make a memorable experience and the support and kindness made all the difference of a superb honeymoon vacation. An A plus plus establishment. The queen size bedroom, and bathroom were well decorated, comfortable and clean. The availability to change towels when needed is an added bonus. The cottage gives a feeling of living in a quaint English manor tastefully decorated in the Hawaiian theme; a rainforest cottage in Kailua -Kona area. The lanai area was breath taking surrounded by tropical trees, flowers and birds, and comfortable to enjoy your fresh morning Kona coffee, and tea and some complimentary healthy breakfast bread. The lanai is nice area to rest and unwind down in the evenings and enjoy your own home cooked meal. There is a guest common full kitchen with stove, fridge, dishes and cutlery.
Communication with owners was expedient and clear. They will help you find things on the island.
A recommended place to stay and have a memorable time on the Big Island of Hawaii.

The inn was clearly run very well. Clean, well maintained, beautiful, peaceful, and real unique rustic character as far as aesthetics go. There was a fully stocked kitchen that we could use. Literally the only downside of this inn was an overzealous rooster. But that's Hawaii. There are wild birds all over the island. If you don't like nature, then maybe a resort will treat you better. For those who want a more immersive and real experience with genuine heart, I highly recommend it. This is a place that I'll strongly consider coming back to on a future visit.
