Escape to Northern Michigan in our fully renovated home just one mile north of the charming little town of Frankfort! The property includes a huge backyard deck with deluxe Jacuzzi brand spa / hot tub, new outdoor furniture & picnic table, a bonfire ring, washer & dryer, high-speed Wi-Fi, and live streaming television. This is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy the local atmosphere, and kick back at night enjoying the spa or a beautiful bonfire! PLEASE NOTE: There are exterior cameras at the property for security purposes. These cameras do include visibility to the backyard deck and to the hot tub. Also, the property was sold to new owners in July, 2022. Prior to the sale, it was marketed as "Misty Pines". The home is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home tucked in the woods within walking distance of Frankfort Michigan and the beach on Crystal Lake. NOTE: For 2023, the property now has brand new central air conditioning!

From the super comfy beds to the amazing hot tub that soaked our cares away, this place has it all. Desiree was amazing getting us all settled in and helped us a little along the way too! We watched deer pass through our back yard in the mornings and watched the glow of campfire at night. The location is perfect for enjoying the quaint town of Frankfort or exploring the dunes. It was helpful to have all the information available to know what was around as well. We couldn't be happier. Leaving was the only tough part.

This home is in a great location near downtown Frankfort, MI. It's a newer home, clean and well stocked with everything we needed, including a hot tub. The listing shared that the exterior of the property has security cameras. When we arrived in the dark, we could not see them when we used the hot tub that evening. The next morning, we could see the camera in the back yard. My partner and I were concerned about our privacy in the hot tub. We then covered the camera while using the hot tub and then received text messages and a voicemail from the property manager, asking us to remove what we had put on the camera. She shared that the owner stated that they cannot see activity in the hot tub from the camera and that they were receiving getting alerts when it was covered. The hot tub was clearly within sight of the camera. Based on our privacy concerns, we did not use the hot tub for the remainder of our visit. VRBO's policy on surveillance devices at properties, includes: "Outdoor cameras covering pools and hot tubs need to be disclosed on the property details page and in a reasonably discoverable location such as a “guest instructions” binder, a notice on the wall of a high-traffic common space, or a placard next to the entry point itself. The disclosure must specify that the pool/hot tub is within the coverage area of the device." The hot tub being within the coverage area of their camera was NOT disclosed in the listing or the guest binder in the house.

We had a great time. Plenty of room for the 7 of us. The back deck is wonderful! The reason I am giving the house 4 stars instead of 5 is because I believe for the price, if you’re going to ask top dollar..there should be air conditioning.

Believe it or not, 5 mom’s were able to coordinate a weekend getaway without interfering with work, school, kids, birthdays, holidays etc……..and we couldn’t have picked a better place! This home has the perfect ‘retreat’ setting- outdoor hot tub surrounded by a beautiful woods view. The house itself has just been all remodeled and was very clean on arrival. We spent the weekend catching up and solving the worlds problems. Would love to return again! Maybe summertime. :)

Simply perfect. House felt so much like home it was hard to leave. Kitchen was stocked. Like fully stocked you couldn't ask for anything that wasn't already there. My 30th birthday was perfect because of this house. Thank you!

Checking in was a breeze. Desiree was always available and helpful. This house was immaculately clean! It's woodsy but not isolated which was convenient. It was fun driving hwy. M22 to area attractions and scenic wonders all within an hour. Met the owner who gave us great dining tips and it was obvious he took great care of the property. Highly recommend staying at Misty Pines. It was the perfect escape.

We used this as our home base while up in Michigan playing a few golf courses. The house is in pristine condition and is spacious enough for 6 adults (size of our group). It was very easy to get ahold of the property manager for check-in and they answered questions very quickly. Also, thanks for the gift in the fridge; that was very thoughtful and we greatly appreciated it!

This was our second week at this property so we knew what to expect. Everything was very clean and the place still looks like new. Thankfully it was cooler weather so the lack of AC was not a problem this time. We had no problems at all.

We spent 3 nights in this house at the tail end of a family trip around the Great Lakes. House is recently renovated and very well appointed - great kitchen, big grill, huge deck, and fire pit. Big back yard for kids to run around. Kids also liked the big screen TV. Rooms are good size and comfortable. Lots of small touches add up. Great home base for exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes, Crystal Lake, or Frankfort. Lots to do in the area!

This property is newly renovated, beautiful inside and out. The owners thought of everything when equipping the kitchen. Communication with the property manager and owner was top notch. We enjoyed cooking dinner and eating at the outside table in the backyard, and having a campfire and s’mores later in the evening. Firewood was provided and kindling stacked in the fire pit. Property was spotlessly clean, plenty of towels and bedding. The location was less than 5 minutes from downtown Frankfort. We would recommend, and we wished we could stay longer!

You can tell when owners really care about their property and when they’re in it for the bucks. These owners care and are wonderful people. Your house is gorgeous and provides more than expected, except for no AC. Like the previous post, it got warm in the house with the beautiful windows looking west into the back yard. My only other complaint is personal interaction. Rather than just sending a code I had to meet the property manager at the house to get in. Lastly, I met the property owners about as much as I would have met the maid if I had stayed at a hotel.

I have been staying in the Frankfort area for many decades. This place is one of the best I have found. Usually the places are run down, dirty and have old beds. This place is mostly new. All finishes are new, appliances are new, nice deck, good beds and very well stocked. Three minor complaints: no AC, no blinds on west facing door walls (hot and bright) and a toilet paper holder that almost overhangs the toilet seat (shoulder or elbow buster!) Aside from that, everything is great and was far better than expected.

Very nice property. Lots of extras and great backyard/deck space. Would have liked to see more seating in family room. Also, to sleep 10 you’ll need to put 4 people in the master suite. We would definitely stay again.

Our group of adult friends had a wonderful time at Misty Pines. The house is very recently renovated, and it worked great for our group of 6. The kitchen is large and great for gathering and cooking, and the deck and fire pit made a great place to gather outside. Linens and beds were great. Check-in was easy and the house was very clean. We really enjoyed our time and hope to come back.

We aren’t strangers to Frankfort and we know several good VRBO/ABB in the area. This one is on the top of the list. Great layout. Peaceful setting. Short/easy drive to town. Plenty of room for a group of 7-10. 20 plus acres for kids to explore on trails/bikes. We had a great week! You won’t be disappointed.

We were the first people to stay here after an extensive renovation of the property and we loved it. It's very nice and has everything you need. We used the fire pit and the grill. A couple of the doors were hard to close and the upstair bathroom had a leak in the shower. We told the property manager and it was fixed the next day. It didn't bother us at all but wanted them to know for future guests. We saw deer and a turkey in the yard which was cool, the kids loved it. We highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed.
