About this house rental

Situated in Crystal Lake, this charming house for $269 per night is a great choice for your next break. Our property is located on crystal-clear Crystal Lake, known as one of the ten most beautiful inland lakes in the world. Our home is quaint and inspiring. Outside the door, and just across a lightly used one lane road, is 60 feet of frontage on the lake. In regard to the one lane road: It is a public street, but is used primarily by the owners and renters on the south side of Crystal Lake. Most of the traffic you will experience will be bikers, joggers, and walkers. Yes, for the safety of all staying at the cottage, you do have to be aware of the occasional cars that slowly drive by, but for the most part the car traffic is limited to the people living in the cottages over the summer. We have sand for the kids to play in, and a nice dock to swim, lounge, or watch the sunsets from each night. The lake is nine miles in length and up to two miles in width. It is great for fishing and all water sports. We even have a mooring for your boat. There is a nice fire pit for making s'mores or to sit around in the evening. A 'rail-to-trail' is available just outside the front door that gives the outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity to walk, jog, or bike upon. The full length of the trail is about 24 miles. We are only one mile from the small town of Beulah, Michigan. It has nice shops for the shoppers. It is a small town that takes you back to living in the late 50's and 60's, minus all the typical franchises that often decorate most other cities. There is even a neat drive-in theater (Cherry Bowl) just down M-31 about three miles from Beulah. It has double features each evening. Everybody just loves it. It was built in 1953 and still has that 50's environment (Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean etc.). The beautiful city of Frankfort, Michigan is only five miles West of our cottage. It is a quaint picturesque port city with great dining, shopping, ICE CREAM, and Lake Michigan Beaches. The famous Sleeping Bear Dunes are less than an hour north of us. In fact, you will be with an hour's reach of many Northern Michigan tourist sights and other activities for small day trips if that interests you. I know that pets are important to the family. If you are interested in bringing the family pet along, please call us to discuss that possibility. We are very proud of our cottage. It is nestled in an area that we like to think of as our 'Little Paradise' or 'Heaven on Earth'. Plus for me was proximity to Frankfort and access to lake and running/biking path. Pictures are accurate. Smallish "up north" family cabin. Very clean. Brought my own towels/linens per owner request. Owners made themselves very available.

The location is very convenient for the wineries on the Leelanau Peninsula, as well as a visit to Frankfort. It was quite chilly while we were there, so we didn't experience the lake as much as we might have in warmer weather. However, the lake itself is beautiful, so we spent time sipping our wine and enjoying the view.

This stay at this home was phenomenal! Location is perfect. Bonfires by the lake, breakfast on the picnic table, biking right outside our door, close to everything. Can’t say enough Was wonderful!!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. This is a clean and well kept cottage in an outstanding location on Crystal lake. The betsie valley trail passes directly in front of the house and continues for several miles along the lake. It is close to a number of beautiful lake MI beaches and towns such as Beulah and Frankfort. The owner reached out to share their contact information and was very responsive to questions. We can’t wait to come back in August for our second stay at this place!

Home was accurately described. We had perfect weather and my grandkids had the opportunity to play with neighbors visiting grandkids. Only slight suggestion to a perfect stay would have been a quick message on day of or night before to review the check out procedures. We did have original message from owner but was able to check with neighbor about how the Juneteenth holiday may have delayed garbage pickup(it didn’t)so all OK💁‍♀️👌

We loved staying at beautiful Casa de Lago. The beach is perfect, with a great fire pit and easy access into spectacular Crystal Lake. The cottage is adorable and spotless, with everything we needed to make our trip enjoyable. We enjoyed using the bike trail, hiking on nearby dune trails, making the short trip to Lake Michigan, as well as area amenities such as, shopping and wine trails. You couldn't ask for a more relaxing and gorgeous setting than the Crystal Lake area. Can't wait to visit again soon.

We loved our stay at this cottage by the lake. Such a great location. We enjoyed the views and sitting on the dock at sunset, bike rides to Frankfort. The home is well maintained, and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the AC was a blessing on hot nights. The owners are welcoming and helpful hosts.

Wonderful cottage on the south shore of beautiful Crystal Lake. Property owners are very nice and make themselves available for any needs should they arise. Had a wonderful time at Casa De Lago. The house is roomy with great views of the lake. We prepared our meals in the well equipped kitchen. The beach, dock and lake are spectacular! We spent a great deal of our stay outdoors walking and riding on the Betsy Trail out front. Look forward to renting again! Thank you Jack for being such a prompt and gracious host.

Had a great trip to Casa De Lago. The cabin was perfect, on the water & very close to Beulah. Always a great breeze coming in off the lake. Be sure and check out Crystal Lake Alpacas & Gwen Frostic Block Prints, both on River Rd. about 3 miles from the cabin.

We had a lovely long weekend in this house located right on Crystal Lake. The location is perfect - less than 20 minutes to any other city or big site and walking distance to downtown Beulah. There is a small road that separates the dock from the house, but it's really only used by those living on the lake, so it wasn't busy at all. The dock and little beach area were perfect. The house was fine, but did seem to be a little older and in need of some TLC. I would say the photos are accurate, but the bathroom and some of the rooms showed a lot of wear. Note that it would be a tight fit for a larger family - there is only one full bathroom and a small kitchen. Definitely worth it for the location, but I am not sure we will return to the home in the future.

Our family enjoyed the cozy cottage right on Crystal Lake. It’s was a chilly weekend but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the view from the dock! I imagine summer is a blast here and we would recommend the cottage to families—plenty of beds and extra room on the porch if needed. We just needed two of the three bedrooms for our family. The cottage is stocked with everything you need and even a few extras like kayaks and bikes .
