About this cottage rental
This second floor guesthouse is bright, spacious, modern, and newly built. It features a large fully equipped kitchen with everything you need, and open concept dining and living room, with skylights and windows with forest views.
The bedroom has a comfy king bed (Canadian made Douglas mattress), a desk for working privately, and a 43" TV with Roku streaming device. The bedroom windows look out into the trees for complete privacy. Windows have pull down shades with two options so you can choose between filtered light or darkness.
The living room has a cozy seating area and 55" 4k TV with Roku streaming device. The TV has a soundbar that doubles as a Bluetooth speaker for listening to your music.
High speed internet is included. Netflix and more is available.
Your private second floor outdoor patio is nestled up in the trees with forest views. It features a quiet dining area with table and chairs, and a covered BBQ area with gas grill you can use rain or shine
In addition to the king bed in the bedroom, there is a fold-away queen bed in the living room for two extra guests, plus two high-quality single sleeping pads.
*Please be aware that the typical maximum capacity is four but will work for up to six for those okay with sleeping on the floor using high-quality sleeping pads. (Two guests on the king bed, two on the queen folding bed, and two on the sleeping pads.).
There is a selection of books, puzzles, board games, cards, and snacks, ready for your enjoyment.
The guesthouse is located on the second floor of our detached garage and is accessed by a staircase that leads to your private outdoor patio and private entrance. Please note that this guesthouse is not well suited for those who find stairs challenging.
Two free parking spaces are provided in front of your patio, just off the main driveway.
The guesthouse is completely separate from the main house where our family lives. We are always available for questions and advice.
You are welcome to enjoy our large shared yard. Children should be supervised at all times when in the yard.
If you would like to walk the surrounding forest trails and see the creek and waterfall, just ask and we can send you directions and a map. Please note that during hotter months the waterfall will be smaller due to reduced water flow.
