The place is iconic and is a realistic representation of a Dales Coaching Inn. Situation is bleak sat in the middle of miles of rough Yorkshire Moors.

After a very tiring walk across the moors. the Tan Hill offered a very welcoming sight. Even better was the ambience inside, with a very welcoming and helpful host. The bedroom was tastefully decorated with a massive bed and lovely shower room. Needing a hearty meal the 3 of us were delighted with melt in the mouth cooked to perfection steak and chicken pies and a giant Yorkshire boeuf bourgignon. We will be back !

We stayed at Tan Hill for part of our honeymoon and it was perfect.
We stayed in Pennine view superior room and it was breathtaking. Spotlessly clean, perfect in everyway.
Great choice of drinks in the bar, staff were fantastic. Breakfast was simply amazing.
Great circular walk down to keld across the Pennine way
