Everything was great, except for one small hiccup at the beginning of the trip. Thankfully that hiccup was not an indication of things to come. I messaged the property via hotels.com announcing our arrival time between 1:30 and 2 pm. We ended up arriving almost at 3 pm, which is check-in time. Since we were a big group, with 3 rooms, I wanted to make our presence known and to have the rooms ready earlier, or at the very least on time. 2 out of the 3 rooms were available. We waited until 4:30 pm (because I went in person for the 2nd time complaining about our 3rd room), for the 3rd room. Very unfortunate there. Other than that, it was great. All the rooms were Club level (which made the arrival that much rougher to experience). This meant, top shelf, a few restaurants and bars we had access to that others couldn't. Access to a private pool and jacuzzi. Luis, our concierge butler did a great job in helping us out and from time to time would check up on us. Everyone was very helpful, no matter where we went and it didn't matter if we were club level or not, they were just overall kind and helpful. They have many restaurants, plus snack bars, plus grilling at the pool area. Sports bar, buffet for all day eating, Italian, Japanese, Tahitian and Peruvian restaurants were a few of the ones we ate from. The beach is gorgeous and perfect for sunsets and sunrise. Even there hotel shop/store is big and has a lot of clothing options, just in case.

Upon check-out, the staff asked for my credit to pay one charge. They prinetd my receipt, provided me with a "departure" piece of paper which is useless (why do I need this?!?) othe than to provide tips to the staff when they ask for the departure paper, and then they requested a bellman come over when I only had one bag which I could easily handle. They were so focused on these details, they forgot to give me my credit card back! This angered me when I arrived at the airport to attempted to pay for something and realized I did not have the card. I called the hotel and they asked if "I" could come back to get it?!? Really, you kept my credit card but now you're asking me to come get it?!!. They said that they didn't have anyone that could drive the card to me. This is not what I would call good customer service. I also tried to provide my Hyatt number to receive points for me stay and they said they couldn't take it then and that I should call later and talk to Hyatt. C.mon, really?!?

The candid view of the sunrise is fascinating, the restaurant options are varied and of very good quality. A very quiet and pleasant place to spend a good vacation…The attention of the staff was very pleasant. Overall, it was a rewarding experience for my wife and I…!!!

Tha access and the bathrooms floor at the pool área were always wet and slipery, due to it i fall down once, luckily I didn't break any bone am only 81 years old. At the french restaurant, the onion soup was like dirty water not a soup, I also ask for Champagne and when i complain , they said they grave me proseco and it was Cava, they didn't know the difference.

The Zilara could be great. Unfortunately, there were several things that made it less so for us. The buildings, swimming pool and location by the beach were excellent. The incessant Top 20 music spoiled the opportunity to enjoy sitting by the pool. We had mixed experiences at the restaurants. Brandos (French) was very good. Waves (Steakhouse) was terrible. Buffet had excellent choices, but much of the food was dried out (chicken and pork in particular) or not fresh (heated up waffles and pancakes). Most of the service staff were attentive and friendly, although they had trouble with common, simple English, which made for some frustrating interactions.

Facilities were very nice, beach was not as clean and seaweed was pretty prevalent. There was efforts to clean it up by staff. Room was great, restaurants were limited depending on the day which was a bummer. All restaurants were not created equal as some were great while others were not. Pools were great, bars were meh given they were not open past a certain time. Staff were amazing! Everyone was very friendly, gracious and relatively timely. It is island time. It was a nice stay but will not likely return.

The property was stunning! We really enjoyed all the activities on property as well as the staff. Everyone was great! The gym was gorgeous and had great classes and instructors. The restaurants and bars had really good food and drinks as well as service. The spa was incredible. One of the top spa experiences of my life!! We will definitely return!!

We were initially assigned a room in another building from other members of our group when we all booked together. We inquired at check in about changing rooms and were treated quite rudely. We spoke to several staff to no avail. Finally they agreed to change our rooms but waited the entire day, so our first day was lost. Once we were able to change rooms, things continued to get much better. Our concierges, Adrian and Andrew, absolutely made our trip wonderful. They treated our whole group as VIP’s. The remainder of trip was awesome.
