The hotel room was clean and comfortable. My wifi wasn't connecting properly, so I called the front desk. The person who answered the phone had just arrived for his shift, had not checked in with his manger and was very rude to me. Staff shouldn't be answering the phone is they are that frustrated with guests. I also could hear every sink, toilet and shower running. There was zero noise barriers. I didn't get to enjoy breakfast, but it looked good. The check-in and check-out process was fast and efficient and staff at those points were very good.

Stay was ok. TV stations were kind of hit or miss. Coffee maker at the breakfast buffet didn't work, otherwise breakfast was pretty good. OJ dispenser wasn't working properly. Overall stay B+.

I arrived to find that the hotel was having issues with their television service provider and that tv viewing was limited at best, further advised that my State issued driver's license was insufficient identification for check in as the address listed on the drivers license was different from current residence due to recent move. Was advised that I would be receiving a refund for the pre-reserved booking.

Our room was in terrible shape. The faucet didn’t work first which we ignored,but then my son got in the shower and the shower head fell off. Then the toilet broke. The only saving grace was very nice employees, who took care of the problem ( shower) immediately. That room needs an overhaul!

Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed. The shampoo was in the conditioner bottle and the conditioner was in the shampoo bottle. There was only decaf coffee left in the room for the coffee maker. When we went down to the breakfast room to get coffee, the coffee maker was broken!

When I arrived to check-in, no one was at the desk. There was no sugn nor bell to rung. I waited a few minutes. Finally, a man came from the area to the right of the entrance. The room that I selected online was not the room i was given. At 1:46 am, I was startled awake by some man in the adjacent room who was coughing, gagging, and throwing up. This lasted for several minutes. There was no way anyone could sleep through this, so I called the front desk. I was moved to a different room in the middle of the night. At this point, I was wide awake and never got back to sleep until after 4 AM. All this occurred after spending 8 hours at the hospital with my 74 year old husband who had knee replacement surgery. This is the worst hotel experience I've ever had in 67 years!

Before we arrived asked if we would switch from a double queen to a king with a roll away bed. They offered a discount. I decided ok. We arrive, roll away there but no bedding (pillows, blankets). Front desk guy takes us to laundry & gets stuff. Get in room and TV won't work. Back to front desk. Guy comes up, messes with TV & can't get it to work. Says he will put an order in for next day to get fixed. He apologized & said he'd make an adjustment to the bill-never happened. The room was comfortable & front desk guy tried to be helpful, but was not a smooth stay. I doubt we will stay here again if we can help it.

Our room was right next to the elevator mechanical room so we heard the elevator all night long. Sleeping was terrible. Plus the toilet would run periodically throughout the night. Couldn't wait to leave. We checked in early so not sure why we were given this particular room. The hotel should NEVER put anyone in this room unless they absolutely have to and communicate it will very noisy. Will not recommend this place.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic but had many options to choose from. Thermostat in the room didnt seem to control the wall unit but we were able to adjust to get it comfortable. Nice modern decor and beds were comfortable.

We were in town because we l9st a family member, the staff was so nice and accommodating to a very fluid situation. I usally stay at the Dury, but this hotel will be my go to in ycolumbia now.

Some of the hot tub jets need serviced. That is the extent of my complaint. Everything else was quality. I'm in HVAC and it's amazing how many hotels and BNBs have dirty filters. The unit for this room had clean filters. I highly recommend this place. Clean sheets, comfy bed, quite room.

Had to ask to get room cleaned, even then it wasnt done. Took out my own trash, got towels from front desk. The phone at the pool didnt work which would be very bad in an emergency. Check in staff friendly but after that not friendly. 12 night stay. Do NOT recommend

Stayed at Wingate by Wyndham in Columbia one night for a business trip right after Christmas. When I checked into my room, I smelled smoke--and this is a non-smoking room. I also had trouble with the tv. So I contacted the Front Desk and they immediately addressed my concerns and checked me into a room across the hall. It was great; no odor of smoke, the tv worked fine and the bed was super comfy! Terrific to have coffee and bottled water in the morning to take with me on the road. Excellent experience!

Im 2/3 way through a 12 night stay. Most of the staff are very nice. Need to be early for breakfast as some items run out. Towels at the pool are not restocked, completely empty 4 out of 8 days, random hours of the day. Housekeeping not a priority

This was our first time staying at Wingate but it definitely won’t be our last. Check-in was very easy no wait and the receptionist was absolutely friendly. The hotel was very clean and the room was great. The continental breakfast was outstanding. This place is for sure a Great place to stay.

We stay at the Wingate when we are in Columbia. We enjoy this hotel because of the location to the hospitals. The staff is always friendly and courteous when we arrive and leave. Very clean hotel. My employment uses this hotel when they fly out of Columbia for business too.

Terrible rating for cleanliness - (1 problem) I was drying off after shower first night in room. Found red blood on towel I’d been using. Checked myself everywhere and I wasn’t bleeding anywhere. GROSS! Had to jump back into the shower immediately. B/C it was blood I consider this terrible. Check in staff wasn’t friendly. Rest of lobby staff was great. Hotel facilities and breakfast were great.

Cleanest hotel we’ve stayed in since pandemic. Amazingly huge and tasty breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. 10 out of 10 recommend.
