Pleasant, quiet room with attentive owners.

The room was on its own in a barn so was very quiet and secluded. The owner was very attentive regarding the room and gave us information on restaurants and Alnwick. We got lost walking there from Alnmouth Station and Linda reassured us that we would not be locked out even though we were an hour late! Real milk was provided in a fridge for tea making. There was a lovely wooded valley just behind the farmhouse. The picture on Booking.com does not do justice to the situation!

The only minor disadvantage is the distance from Alnwick with no short cut footpath due to the A1. This was clear from the map before booking the room. However it was closer to Alnmouth Station than the centre of Alnwick would have been, which was useful - and close to Aln Valley Railway with summer weekend services half way to Alnmouth.

Very comfortable bed, excellent shower, and milk supplied every day in the fridge.

Very little, except that there was difficulty getting hot water from the tap as it had to come from the farm house.

Very friendly hosts and great location for Alnwick and the coast.

The location is very close to Alnwick yet the property is in a rural setting. It's very well placed for the coast, a track which is great for cycling or walking and leading straight to Alnmouth being virtually right next to the property.

The room was spotlessly clean, hosts really friendly and set on a beautiful and peaceful farm setting.

I was really happy with my stay, if I had to comment at all I would say this is probably more of a location for car-drivers, as you might have a bit of a walk into the main centre if you're planning to get around on foot. This wasn't a problem for me as I drive but just a consideration for those who don't.

Stayed in this property while we attended a wedding nearby. It was ideal.

The room was exceptionally clean. The booking was for a room only (breakfast not included), which was clear to us when we booked. There was a kettle, tea, coffee, fresh milk (there was a fridge in a cupboard in the room), bottled water and biscuits supplied. There is a Macdonalds, a pub that serves breakfast and a petrol station with some groceries 10 minutes walk from the property.

Nothing. The property was perfect for our requirements. We would definitely stay there again if returning to that area.

Lovely - would definitely go again.

Hosts were just lovely and the fridge in the room a bonus {wish everybody did this!} Great location very near to the town but still rural.

was a bit disappointed that although advertised as B & B there isn't a Breakfast on offer.

Superb

Superb host. Very comfortable room. Based on a farm on the edge of town it's an excellent location.

They don't do breakfast, but there are options really close by. This is more of a statement than any kind of complaint.

A pleasant and comfortable stay

The property was quiet and comfortable. My greeting on arrival was friendly. The accomodation was clean and comfortable. It was easy to park. The owner was knowledgeable and helpful.

Comfortable and convenient with a lovely host

Independent of main house so free to come and go as we wanted without affecting anyone else. Provision of small fridge and fresh milk was great. Lovely quiet peaceful setting.

The barn at the farm

Very friendly host Linda. Tea/Coffee milk(in a mini fridge) clean room and great location for travelling about. Room comfortable, quiet location, off the beaten track but very close to A1. To walk into Alnwick was 40 minutes. There are services very near by and a pub within a 10 minute walk

The only thing missing was the breakfast

Lovely stay

Spacious modern room with everything you need. Even a small fridge which is very useful. Beautiful location in the wonderful Northumberland countryside. Linda and Dave were super hosts, welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us to make sure our stay was perfect. Want to return when they have the room.

A really lovely place to stay; would return in future if breakfast was back on the cards!

Linda met us with the key upon arrival and was very helpful with directions and advice about places to visit and restaurants to try. She was very understanding regarding laundry after an accidentally spilt drink on the bed! Fresh milk in the fridge daily was really great, since we both like milky hot drinks, and we never ran short! There was plenty of space for storage in the room and facilities were very good and cleanliness was excellent. It was easy to find and convenient location for getting elsewhere in Northumberland easily (v close to the A1 but not so close as to have any traffic noise).

The location was just a little further outside of Alnwick than I anticipated (a good 25 min walk). With no breakfast provided at the farm (due to Covid - we knew before booking), we had to find some locally each morning. We tried the Hogs Head Inn (v local) on the first morning, but their service was terrible, so we opted instead for the local Morrison's Daily, which did nice sausage sandwiches and croissants, for a very good price. The other options would have been the McDonald's next door or going into Alnwick itself. The lack of any wifi was also something I was surprised by, but not something that I'd checked beforehand!
