To be away from the tourist area but in easy striking distance is paramount to us. Being a quieter area going to local shops and restaurants with locals always gives a better perspective. Being able to escape from the necessary world of crowds at Dam, Centraal station, 9 straatjes and the like, is very satisfying.
I guess a bigger more varied menu at Lucias...but it was fine for one meal. There were some good options close by.
Nice stay will definitely be back when back in this neck of the woods.

Location close to the tram, close to the Amsterdamse Bos, not so crowded and busy as Amsterdam city centre, well equipped apartment.

Bathroom was clean and fairly new. No hair conditioner.
Beds were comfortable, we wanted an extra blanket, and they brought one.
There was a dishwasher, and they provided some supplies, which is good. We were able to cook last night. There is a fridge as well.
The location is really nice, and we were able to park our car in front of the hotel (street parking). There is plenty of space to park around, so I do not find it logical to buy a parking space from the hotel. The tram station is within walking distance, and you can go directly to the Museumplein without any transfer.
The restaurant and the breakfast were super nice. The space is cozy, and breakfast is fresh, ready at 7 AM, and all you need is there for you.
Room was good, but not super clean. We were not able to walk in the room without shoes because of the dust on the floor.
On the first day, they changed our towels, but on the second day, although I hung the notification on the door, they did not change them. There is no possibility to hang your towels to dry in the bathroom, so we put them on chairs, which I really do not prefer.
Whose idea is to put a halogen lamp over the bed? It never fully dims, so it glowed all night in our eyes as we tried to sleep in the box bed.
