The Ayuterra Resort is a couple of km from the centre of Ubud, so it was really nice to be away from the crowds and traffic. If you like peace & quiet then you will like this place. The resort itself is really nice and our room was well laid out and had incredible views over the valley and hills so spectacular views and nice infinity pool (little chilly) that we relaxed in. Staff were very good and welcoming. The food we had in the restaurant was really good. It's not hard to get to the resort and we used mainly Grab but be prepared for the traffic, it's worse than you can expect. Not the resorts fault, staff there are really nice and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in September and to be honest, very little bugs or unwelcome quests so that was really good.
Unfortunately the resort needs a little TLC. It's just a little worn looking but some would call it rustic, but it's not that, it just needs fresh paint, varnish and a little care. The restaurant wasn't busy but think most people headed down to the centre of Ubud for dinner. Breakfast was not so good, by the end of the stay, we had stopped ordering most of it, probably should have taken it in the restaurant rather than in the villa itself. Used the gym, while clean it's also a bit worn and dated so needs some updating. The area by the gym is not welcoming and seems to be a little forgotten space. Would think about the fridge in the villa, it's more like something you see in a shop, should upgrade to a nicer one that has a solid door and wished they had restocked it, we ended up buying things and bringing them back.

Not much to do but relax.
Breakfast was superb and the team are lovely 😄
Access can be tricky without your own wheels. Front desk could not order us a taxi within an hour for dinner nearby, so we ended up walking in the pitch black. 😬

The staff were amazing. The view from our room was incredible. It is a short Grab ride from Ubud central.
The restaurant food was not very good. We went there at a time when there were not many guests. The food was not fresh.
