The location was fantastic, just a 7-minute walk to Plaza de Armas, Cusco’s main square. Most of the town’s main attractions are within walking distance, including Qorikancha, Sacsayhuamán, San Pedro Market and many more. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, making it a convenient base for exploring Cusco.
The staff were excellent — friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. A special mention to Anthony, the manager, who was constantly busy but always made sure guests were well looked after and any issues were addressed. During our stay, there was a small earthquake at night, and Anthony personally went around to every guest room to check on everyone and explain the safety precautions to take if there were further tremors. This was very reassuring and showed how much he genuinely cared about his guests.
We stayed in a room on the second floor with a jacuzzi, which was nice for three people. The beds were comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure and hot water. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi wasn't working, and we didn't get a chance to ask Anthony to fix it as there were other unexpected issues to deal with, including the earthquake and sudden council roadworks that interrupted the water supply for the night. Once the water was restored the following day, we were still able to enjoy a relaxing soak in the bath with the Maras salts after a long day of sightseeing and walking!
Breakfast was simple but nice, with eggs, bread, orange juice, coffee and tea. A particularly helpful service is that you can request a takeaway breakfast the night before if you're heading out on an early morning tour. This was very convenient for us.
Overall, a lovely little boutique hotel with fantastic staff, comfortable rooms and an excellent location. Anthony and his team really made a difference to our stay. Great value for money and highly recommended if you're looking for
The small outdoor stairs leading up to our room, it was old and railing and handle was a bit loose. It was stable enough as it survived the earthquake but maybe they should check and fix it. If it was raining, you may get wet, but luckily during our 5 days in Cusco, we had perfect sunny weather. Wished the jacuzzi worked, it would have been nice as specifically booked the room for it.
If you suffer from Altitude sickness or have issues with stairs, request a room on the ground floor as climbing up stairs may affect it.

Adorable decor and the bed was the perfect firmness for me. It's in a great location, with super friendly staff who catered to my dietary restrictions and packed me a breakfast when I had to check out early. Some beautiful cats in the courtyard too!
The floors were very creaky and the main door is very loud to close, so you can't be too discreet!

Casa Saphi and its staff and location were excellent! Kati and Anthony at the little café next-door where incredibly helpful kind the breakfast she cooked was delicious!
They helped us book taxis to get where we needed to go and always greeted us with smiles.
We took the family room upstairs with a big bathtub, which was really nice on the cold evenings. The beds were comfortable. They had a water heater & tea in our room and a space heater. There was even a communal kitchen available if we wanted to cook anything.
We would highly recommend this place and their staff. They made us very comfortable and we enjoyed staying there.Thank you!

Staff were very pleasant!
Old, not well maintained, dirty walls doors and light switches, bathroom fan not working, black mold and pealing paint on ceiling in bathroom, dirty hall carpets, no lobby area to lounge in, towel looked stained yellow.
