Room and bed were comfortable. Setting of the breakfast (dining room at a table with strangers) was not my type. Staff was very friendly at the breakfast.

The bathroom was not properly cleaned. Communication when picking up the keys could be improved.

The bed was very comfortable and we loved the ladies who cooked and served our breakfast.

The breakfast was great everyday. The staff was very accommodating. Walking distance to downtown. Loved the tour of the Duff Green Mansion. Our host, Harley was very gracious and supplied what was missing in a very timely manner.

There was no ice in the icemaker, there needs to be another end table or desk to put things on. There were no hangers although the staff supplied when we asked. The comforter appeared stained in spots. The vanity coating was rubbing off when I wiped down with a tissue.

Never did stay. Couldn't get anyone to the door. Everything the pictures offered online was a lie and then got charged anyway.

Bare in mind this is an older building but any flaws are more than made up for with its character and charm.

Such a friendly and welcoming family run group of bed and breakfast properties which includes Duff Green Mansion. We we had such a nice and relaxing time we decided to stay an extra night. The attitude of the owners who allow people to explore the property and enjoy it was so refreshing. The family style breakfast and house tour were a bonus.

No pool at Halpino but access to one a few minutes down the road at their other property.

A back in time travel place.

The house is in a nice place, in a very quiet street and well wooded. When getting inside, all furnitures and arts are in perfect harmony with everything. My room was awesome! All staffing was great doing their best to make me feel comfortable. Breakfast was at Duff Green Mansion, a block away from Halpino and I felt back in old luxury times. After breakfast, We all had a free guide through the mansion’s history and Vicksburg. I want to give a special thanks to the Duff’s Green Mansion manager and guide, who unfortunately I forgot her name. Forgive me for that.

Maybe owners could improve communication to the first timers visitors regarding the place to have breakfast, leaving this information in the room.

Great location. Very clean accommodation and close to points of interest. Host Harley very friendly and gave a terrific tour of Duff Green mansion. Check in easy as communication was fabulous. Highly recommend.

Could be so much better.

The breakfasts and the free coffee at any time was top class. Terrific Location.

The room was small. There was only one chair and there were two of us. The host who met us rushed through the information at the start. I got about 50% of it, my wife even less.

Recommend

The tour of the Duff mansion was incredible and the breakfasts were great. Really enjoyed the stay. I was very comfortable. The Halpino is centrally located, making it very easy to get around.

I thought the floors could have been cleaner. Its a minor quibble, since they weren't bad. And it may be difficult to keep an auxiliary building like this super clean.

Cute, comfortable and cozy at a great price!

Our stay at Halpino was fabulous! Very clean and cozy room. We also enjoyed the sitting areas and coffee in the lobby! Very unique as it used to be a law office so we loved the authenticity. Convenient parking and we felt very safe and secure. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful! We especially enjoyed the tour afterwards by Harley, the owner of Duff Green. We will definitely be back!
