About this cabin rental
The Seney Cabin features a 1500 sq ft rustic log home adjacent to Seney National Wildlife Refuge for hiking trails, nature watching, cross country skiing, and fishing. It is located directly on the beautiful Manistique River for kayaking, tubing, and fishing. There are snowmobile and ATV/ORV trails just down the road. We are just a short drive to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and many other tourist attractions. There is a fire pit and picnic table in the backyard for you to sit around and roast marshmallows. The cabin has a large full kitchen and dining table that seats 8, full size washer and dryer, interior stone fireplace, and full 400 sq ft deck with hot tub overlooking the river.
Hot tub: We build in a charge of $20 a night for the hot tub. This is included in your nightly rate and is not an extra charge. If the hot tub is unusable during your stay you will be refunded $20 pet night for the nights it was unusable.
The hot tub is drained and refilled every month or two. If the hot tub needs to be drained again a lot sooner than scheduled due to improper use or excessive debris following a guests stay, the guest will be charged a fee of $100.
Security: You will find three outside cameras that only view the driveway, but these are not monitored. We want you to be able to enjoy your time at Seney Cabin. It is a beautiful place to get away and enjoy nature!!!
This is listed as a two bedroom, but I want to clarify that the bedroom with a King bed and full mattress is a loft. The bedroom with the queen bed is fully private and located on the main floor.
This cabin is located next to the river and surrounded by trees, making it a beautiful setting in nature. You may see fox, deer, or an occasional black bear in the backyard, which also means there are mice in the area. Every once in a while, we do have the occasional mouse that gets in the house. We work hard at catching them between guests and have traps that can be set when guests are there if they would like. We can go months without seeing any mice and then see a couple. We apologize if at any time you may encounter a mouse in the house.

It is a very nice, clean cabin in a convenient location to attractions in Munising, Grand Marais, Sault St. Marie and Manistique. We were able to park our truck and motorcycle trailer very easily on the property. The owners were very quick to respond to a couple of questions that we had.

This cabin was a perfect getaway for our family of 7. The setting is nice right along the river, however due to flies and tons of mosquitoes we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub and bonfires as much as we would’ve like, but tis’ the season! Had to reach out to Kim during our stay and she was great at prompt responses and accommodating our needs/ request. The cleanliness of the cabin is ok, as a personal housekeeper I saw things that could have used some attention and better detailing, but overall I didn’t feel we were vacationing in filth. The decor in the cabin adds a nice rustic/ woodsy touch like your in the great outdoors while relaxing on the couch watching a movie or at the table playing some of the board games. Would recommend the Seney Cabin and we would stay again! We throughly enjoyed our time in the U.P. but, still tons more to explore.
