Great value right in the heart of Vienna

A very kind staff member helped us get an upgraded room because the room we were initially assigned smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Housekeeping had tried to remove the odor, but it was still noticeable when we arrived in the evening. Of course, it is not the hotel’s fault that previous guests did not follow the rules, and we appreciated being given a better room.
Overall, the rooms were good.
Some areas for improvement could be:
* Fixing the light switch that was not working in my parents’ room.
* Improving the cleanliness of the bathroom
* Providing a larger trash bin in the rooms, as there was only a small one in the bathroom.
* Ensuring that housekeeping checks the bed linens more carefully, as one of our beds had a stain on the sheet.
The breakfast was okay, a little boring but we missed having cold cuts such as chicken, beef, or turkey. The only options available were pork products.
Kitchen staff were also so nice.
Finally, we would like to give special recognition to the young staff member with semi-length blond hair and a slim build who helped us. He was exceptionally kind, professional, and accommodating, and he deserves great praise for the way he handled the situation and ensured that our stay was comfortable.

We had a lovely stay overall and the staff were wonderful—kind, accommodating, and gracious when they helped us move to another room after the stove in our original room wasn’t working. The new room was on a lower floor, which we actually preferred, so we really appreciated how smoothly they facilitated the move.
Our only frustration was that the second room didn’t have the kitchenette we had originally paid for, which meant we had to spend extra out of our budget to compensate. I followed up multiple times after our stay and, unfortunately, never heard back beyond being told the matter would be passed along to management. I’m happy to give the benefit of the doubt that it was simply missed, but being left without any follow-up was disappointing.
That communication issue aside, we genuinely enjoyed the hotel and would absolutely recommend it. We’re giving 5 stars because the stay itself was lovely and the staff were great; I just wish the post-stay communication and resolution had matched that experience and found that disappointed.
