Situated in Arcata, this lovely house for $284 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. LOCATION: Our place is a two-story house ideally located right across the street from Arcata Community Forest. From here you only need a 2-min drive to get to Cal Poly Humboldt University. Close to Arcata city center, where you can explore the Farmer's Market at the plaza every Saturday. PET: We allow up to two pets per stay, with a pet fee (*please include your pets in the booking*). No pets are allowed on furniture. Please DO NOT leave pets unattended. INTERNET: We pay for gigabyte internet service. Our place is perfect for remote working that requires video calls. THE HOUSE: Spacious two-story house with a total size of 2,425 sqft. Can host 8 people very comfortably. Second floor: living room, full kitchen , dining area, sun room; 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds, and 2 full bathrooms. There are a total of 15 stairs to get to the second floor. First floor: living room, kitchenette, 1 full bedroom, 1 full bathroom, pool table, arcade game, laundry room. This floor is also accessible from the garage without stairs. BABY STUFF: We have a baby gate at the top of the stairs. Some baby supplies (high chair, stroller, rocking horse, Pack n’ play, switch covers can be found around the house or upon asking). Guests have access to the entire house including the backyard. We have only exterior cameras at the property for security reasons. Arcata Short-Term Rental Permit: #607310. The total price includes a 10% short-term rental tax that’s required by the city.

Our family of five (1 high school, 2 college) plus a service dog and pet dog loved the house and its location. Right across the street is the Arcata Community Forest, with a gorgeous redwood trees and quiet trails. Every day we happily ran or hiked in the peaceful forest. The house was spacious with 2 kitchens, 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 living rooms, a backyard for the dogs and a sun room for relaxing. The hosts anticipated our needs with games, pool table, street fighter arcade game, TVs, Alexa, yoga mat and roller, nearby attraction brochures, front combo door lock so no keys to remember, and all the kitchen basics. It's only 5-10 min to downtown Arcata with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops. Within an hour drive or so is Fern Canyon, Trinidad State Park, Avenue of the Giants, the Sequoia Zoo and redwood canopy walk, plus other great places to visit. The host had friendly, clear and fast communications. We'd love to stay here again for our next visit!

The location was perfect, just cross the street and you’re surrounded by nature. The home had everything we needed. Spacious. We felt right at home. Communication with easy and quick. I would love to return and book the same accommodation.

My family and I had a fun and relaxing stay at this wonderful property. It has a very cozy atmosphere, with the peaceful sun/sitting area on the upper floor and practically a whole apartment on the bottom floor. The location cannot be beat, with the trailhead to a beautiful, woodsy trail just across the street. Great place to walk the dog or go for a stroll, but long enough for a real hike depending on which branch of the trail you take. We also spent some time hiking at the splendid Redwood National Park, which is fairly close. In the evenings, we had a great time winding down playing pool and the Streetfighter arcade game downstairs. The home is clean and well-kept, and the host was very responsive, which we really appreciated.

What a perfect place to stay to walk in the redwoods every day! Comfortable beds, great kitchen, relaxing front room and bonus pool table! We had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. Best entry lock for the front door I’ve ever had at a rental, worked perfectly every time. Thanks again

Arcata is a great town, and the house is located right across from the community forest trailhead. We'd happily stay here again on our next trip to visit our CalPoly Humboldt student!

Wonderful place to stay for our whole family (kids through seniors). Clean, cozy, and convenient. Beautiful view in sun room and plenty of space for all of us to chill. Host was very responsive, friendly, and helpful.

The Pickle House was perfect for our family to stay while in Arcata for a wedding. It is across the street from the Redwood park for hiking, a short distance from Cal Poly Humboldt and downtown. There are stairs to enter the home, and it is two levels inside, but my 86 yr old parents were able to navigate with the railings. It has 4 bedrooms- king with en suite; 2 twins and Queen upstairs and full size with bath down stairs. It is not fancy, but it has character, is well appointed and updated nicely. We really appreciated the owners being so easy to contact and very helpful. Only wish we had more time to explore the area.

Arcada is a great little town, that we'll be visiting again. The town 'park' is a huge Redwood forest, and this home stands at the very entrance. We spent hours every days exploring the woods with our two dogs, happy to return to this spacious, well-appointed, comfortable home afterwards. The bed is incredibly comfortable after days hiking. The kitchen is well stocked. The fenced in back yard meant we could let the dogs out without worrying. Perfect.

This house is located close to redwood community park, Cal Poly Humboldt, and the Arcata plaza. We had plenty of space to enjoy with our adult children and significant others. Dog friendly is a plus!
