About this house rental
A coastal/modern style and freshly renovated lakefront bungalow in Carolina Beach with water and marsh views from every room in the house! The home features one king, two queens and a single sized bed, unlimited WiFi, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, ping pong table, dart board, corn hole boards, ring toss, and so much more. The Happy House is sure to live up to its name as it provides activities for the entire family. It is a short 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk to the main strip. Carolina Beach is a beautiful coastal town, but like many seaside areas, it can occasionally have some natural odors. Guests sometimes notice a “rotten egg” smell, which can come from two common sources:
• Water system – The local groundwater naturally contains hydrogen sulfide, which can give tap water a temporary odor, especially in the off-season when pipes and water heaters aren’t used as frequently. Running hot water for a few minutes usually clears it.
• Beach environment – At certain times, decomposing seaweed or organic material along the shoreline can create a sulfur-like smell.
These smells are a normal part of the area and not a reflection of cleanliness or water safety. Most days, guests don’t notice them at all, but I like to share this upfront so you know what to expect.

Fantastic stay at the Happy House! Amazing location with easy beach access and the Veggie Wagon super close by. Quiet street, comfortable house with everything we needed, and a super responsive host. Highly recommend!

Great location, easily walkable to area attractions and beach. House located on dead end street so very quiet. Beautiful views of the lake. House very comfortable for 6 adults. Host was very responsive and great to deal with. Only minor complaint was no grill as listed. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay in Carolina Beach! Perfect quiet spot for a family of 5 with older 3 teens. “Happy” is a great name. Great well stocked kitchen, nice bathrooms with plenty of towels, comfy beds and lovely outdoor seating on porch. The location has an easy walk to beach, veggie wagon for delicious treats, restaurants and community lake is a sweet little place to enjoy. Thank you for renting your home to us.No worries on this but the ping pong table did not have a net so that was not an amenity. But there was plenty to enjoy!

These were the best beds! Typically we have horrible luck with beds when we stay somewhere but I honestly didn’t want to leave them!
