Good location, I wanted to stay in Lanchester. The off street parking is good as it would be tricky to find a space on the road. Not the biggest house but good size for 3 or 4 and lovely views across the hills.
It smelt damp or like there had been a wet dog in the downstairs which was off putting. I tried to air it out didn’t seem to help.
We also had no hot water when we got there because of low pressure on the boiler, there was an error on the boiler. I didn’t realise until 9pm so didn’t ring. Found how to fix it online but was annoying. With this and the smell it felt like the house hadn’t been checked for a long time.

Very nice property and location everything you needed for a short break was overall happy with the property
Just one bad point to maik not a major one, but the downstairs smelt a little bit damp or maybe previous occupant had a dog but apart from that, the rest of the property was spot-on

Excellent location, 15 minutes drive from Beamish and 30 minutes on the bus to Durham. The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with fantastic facilities. Super easy check in process.
Only thing that could be improved is the back yard, as the weather was nice some outdoor seating and a brush up to tidy it up a little would have been amazing.
