The house is very nice and comfortable. Everything was clean and fresh when we got in and the facilities are really good. The beds are comfortable, and all are 'grown up' rooms, including the single one. We really appreciated having two bathrooms (one a shower room and the other a main bathroom). Parking is available on the drive and there's also a parking area a few steps away from the front. There's a nice little garden too, although we didn't have time to make the most of this! The host was helpful and quick to respond to a couple of questions I had.
It's in a very nice area and there's lots to see and do nearby. We came up for a family wedding and we did a bit of sightseeing while we were there, including a trip to Seaham and to the Bishop's Palace in Bishop Auckland, which was very interesting.

Small and comfortable and quiet location.
It wasn’t clean and there were not much in the kitchen as holiday home. There was no sponge to wash dishes with. No foil or cling film but an opened loaf of sliced bread in the fridge, not even a courtesy carton of milk in sight !

The house was lovely, everything you could need. The bathroom had a bath and separate shower unit. The back garden was a good size, there was a drive for the car. It was a quiet place to stay,. It had a small play park and parking places just over the road. There was wood and fire starting materials provided, but we stayed in June when it was hot. There were a few clocks, plenty mirrors and lamps around the place. The beds were very comfortable. The neighbours were friendly. I will definitely be back to this property.

Ruhig gelegen. Parkplatz vor der Tür. Wohnzimmer mit zwei grossen sehr bequemen Ledersofas. Grosser abgerundeter Fernseher. Internet perfekt. Offener Kamin, Holz und Anzünder liegt bereit. Grosser Esstisch für sechs Personen, sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Grosser zweiflügeliger Kühlschrank, darunter Gefrierfächer.
Kein Geschirrspüler, jedoch Waschmaschine. Spülmittel für das Geschirr und Tabs zum Wäschewaschen sind vorhanden. Wäscheleine und Klammern im grossen Garten.
Zwei Badezimmer und Toiletten. Oberes Badezimmer sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit seperater Duschkabine und Badewanne. Sehr gute Armaturen und Wasserdruck. Dichte Vorhänge an den Fenstern.
Haus mit Wärmepumpe als Heizung, alles erst vor kurzem renoviert. Das Foto stimmt nicht, das Haus ist inziwschen strahlend weiss und nicht mehr grau. Sehr gute moderne Fenster.
Klare Mülltrennung, gut für das grüne Leben.
Super Ausgangsbasis für Ausflüge in den North Pennines National Park, in das Beamish Open Museum, zur Weardale Railway, zur South Tynedale Railway und zur Tanfield Railway.
Daher sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Absolute Empfehlung.
Obere Zimmer nur über Treppe zu erreichen, sollte man bei der Buchung beachten, wenn man nicht gut zu Fuss ist. Unteres Badezimmer ist eher basic, hat nur einen einfachen Duschvorhang. Ist jedoch auch sauber und funktional.
Der Griff an einem Topf wackelt. Etwas wenige Weingläser. Kein Korb um das Besteck zum Trocknen abzulegen.
Aber sonst sehr gute und geräumige Küche.
