2 hours in a Ghost Villa with decayed Pool

Nothing. The photos on Booking don't reflect the desolated reality, the sense of abandonment, the coldness.

1. Showing my passport in person at Hotels, Airports is one thing. Downloading it on a site that can sell data without me knowing is another. Data collection on the internet is a Threat. Not a fantasy of mine 2. Warning me the villa was located at a corner, hard to find by foot in uphill areas confirms all the carelessness I report. I had no WiFi on my cell phone. 3. Calling emergency number countless times. No one answered. Confirming the carelessness. Without the Italian couple I would have given up. 4. I had to tiptoe to enter the door code. Too high for me to reach. Confirmation of the carelessness. 5. I went to the kitchen full of thick cooking smells. They did not Ventilate. Carelessness 6. Put my bathsuit on, went down the stairs. First time I see bedrooms downstairs. The View of the Pool left me Numb. Too small to swim but most of all the lack of maintenance and suspicious water hygiene. No filtration flow. Stagnant. Grass free patches made the place desolate. I refused to refresh even if sweating after one hour walk. I went back to the bedroom to call the emergency number to ask when was last time they cleaned. A storm happened 2 days before. No one answered. 7. Nowhere in a hundred places was I asked to scan for WiFi. impossible to read the WiFi Box Keys on the device. Had no magnifier with me. But WiFi did not matter after the Pool discovery. 8. I felt sick by the whole thing. 2 hours after I Left. 2 hours were enough to know I would not be sleep in such unwelcoming villa. 9. No light in the pool area. It was Pitch black. How would I swim there? 10. I should have left and taken the Keys but I left them in the code box. 11. The villa belongs to a Big Company. Not to a private person, un particular. 12. To lose the money or to risk an infection in troubled waters. Unpleasant choice. Kitchenware looked damp. When was this villa even cleaned with detergent?

We had a lovely, relaxing stay in this pretty villa, the neighbourhood was noisier than expected.

The location is great, up on the hill in Son Bou with a wonderful view over the dunes to the sea. The property was neat and tidy, plenty of space, the balcony offers sun, shade and views over the garden and down to the sea. The pool was private and perfect for a refreshing swim - might be a bit small if there were 6 of you in it.

A safety bar fitted on the balcony wall obscures the view when seated, which detracts from the main attraction of the property (this is clear in the property photos, so was expected). The property is semi-detached, it felt really private on the balcony and around the pool, but unfortunately the neighbours air conditioning unit for their living room is mounted on the wall next to our verandah and was very noisy whilst in operation. The surround of the pool was worn, needs stripping back and re-painting.

La situation géographique dans un quartier résidentielle et calme. Belle vue. Accès à la piscine de la chambre.
