We have been coming to the Vineyard for over 20 years, and this is our first time staying in East Chop, and it was magical. We love the activities in Oak Bluffs, which was a short bike ride away, but it was an amazing experience to have a quiet and serene vacation away from the crowd in town.
The house sits right on the water - the photos do not do it justice. We enjoyed eating breakfast right above the waves. The quiet serenity made our vacation so special. The home provides for private sleeping areas for a good amount of people - I was able to keep my 1 year old occupied in a separate space from the teenagers of the family that we shared the house with. The owner was great with communication and a possible extension (that was foiled by the MV ferry, unfortunately), and we can’t wait to come back to this house next year!
