Our recent stay at Rizes Villa was exceptionally relaxing. We were meet by the agents who showed us around the villa and gave us some recommendations for the area. Nothing was too much trouble. The highlight of the property was that it felt like home, it has everything that you could want for your stay, including a washing machine and tumble drier. The owner was also very kind when he found out we were celebrating our anniversary. The garden area was also very well kept. The location was perfect for us in a rural location but still close enough for trips out. We have been to Crete many times and this Villa is definitely one of the best we have stayed in.
The only thing to note is that the steps into the swimming pool were a little slippery.

Our stay was perfect from beginning to end. We were always informed in advance about the cleaning times for the house and pool. Communication was exceptionally good and truly straightforward.
On our last evening, Manousos even came by personally to say goodbye – a really lovely gesture.
The house is in a wonderfully peaceful location. The beach is about a 10-minute drive away, and the nearest shops are about 15 minutes away. A charming little taverna is even within a 10-minute walk – and the food there is fantastic.
We also want to give a special mention to the rooftop terrace. It's ideal for sunbathing, and with the wonderful jacuzzi, it's simply perfect for relaxing. The entire pool area was also really lovely and perfectly complemented our stay.
This definitely wasn't our last holiday in Crete. We'll be back!

Amazing villa with lots of space and different seating areas. It had everything we needed. View from the pool was great and its a very peaceful area. We loved the roof terrace. We found two local tavernas 5 min drive away which were lovely. You need a car to get to everything. Rethymnon was a 20 min drive away but very nice shops/restaurants. A good villa for space if you're happy to drive to explore the island. Check in was easy and the host was so helpful and professional.
Ideally slightly nearer more restaurants and the beach but the villa was so nice, we didn't mind staying home more and planning day trips.
