It was a lovely house with some beautiful furnishings.
The sofas are nice to look at but not comfy. The bathroom sink was out of order and the shower doors need to be tightly closed. We found notes to let us know of this. Upstairs shower room let out water when having a shower although we put the mat down.

The property has got almost everything you need and is well furnished, well insulated and clean. The kitchen was well supplied including with things like cooking oil spices, foil and cling film, kitchen towels etc. Towels were provided as well as shampoo and shower gel. The owner is very helpful. Check in and out were seamless. The house was very clean . The locals are friendly. This is an old mining estate with a log of history that the owners could tap more into. The trails are very good. The Afan forest visitors centre is a place we recommend. There were plenty of games, drawing materials for the kids. We played chess and really felt we connected with the little ones which is what holidays are for.
Only a few minor things. While it has direct access to walking and cycling trails there are unfortunately no local shops, the closest is about 10 to 15 minutes drive. There is a local pub though about 20 meters from the property and it did play live music
Unfortunately the house next door had loads of refuse bags and bric-à-brac in the garden which spoilt the view from the top window, but it’s marked for sale so it’s hopefully just a temporary stockage which will be cleared. There is view of the mountains from the back yard from both right and left sides though and back yard is well covered by the sun (we wee lucky to have a very nice weather during our stay ). The backyard has garden furniture so good for evenings and morning coffee if the weather is good.
The shower downstairs had a leak but it did not reduce the pressure too much, however the evacuation pipe was very slow leading to water accumulating if you shower for too long. It then clears slowly. This probably needs some attention.
Finally the mattress was slightly too firm for my taste. A wool mattress topper would add a lot of value

Rigtig god plads - gode faciliteter til alt hvad man har brug for især til madlavning. Rigtig god kommunikation med udlejer. Meget stille. Smuk udsigt til bjergene. Dejligt udeareal. Meget rent og pænt
Lidt bøvlet indretning med 3 etager. Der lugtede ikke så godt i kælderetagen, som også var der køkkenet var. Langt til indkøb. Langt væk fra stranden- stedet er lidt oversigt i forhold til beliggenhed.
