Everything a beautiful room with every attention to detail .
I appreciate it being an old building but no air con on a very hot day was difficult . But it will not stop us from returning

Reasonable
Cold room with outdated and cold bathroom. Plug in electric heaters not acceptable.
Staff not very helpful.

The decor of the hotel is done to a high standard. We had a lovely view from our bedroom window and it's in a perfect location.
The shower makes a horrendous noise when used which was also the case for the room next door. This resulted in us being woken up when the neighbours used their shower late in the evening. The room was unbearably hot and no air conditioning so the unpowerful fan they provided didn't make any difference. No black out curtains just roll down blinds so they let a lot of light through. Breakfast isn't served till 08:00 and as we were hiking this meant the breakfast which came with the room we couldn't use as we needed to leave off earlier than this. There is no staff on site overnight or until late morning so we didn't realise there was no way for us to check out prior to this as there is no key drop and the door to the whole building doesn't self lock so we had to ring the emergency number, they didn't answer, however they did ring us back shortly after but this did add some stress to the morning not sure on what to do. Not sure this hotel should be a 5 star as compared to other 5 star hotels this didn't match for us unfortunately
