We visited Edinburgh in August to experience the Tatoo Festival. Rooms are crazy expensive, so this was a great alternative for 2 couples. We didn't have a rental car while in the city, so being centrally located was very important to us. We could easily walk to the castle and Holyrood- the entire stretch of the Royal Mile. Tons of restaurants & shops all around. (We took a city bus nearby Holyrood to visit the Royal Yacht Brittania.) The Close is a steep walk up to the Royal Mile, but quite do-able (we're in our 60-s and 70's). We also were able to walk to pick up our rental car when we left Edinburgh. The apartment is 1 bath, but we made that work. The living/dining room & kitchen were comfortable and functional. Washing machine, but no dryer (seems to be typical) was appreciated. The brilliant location was really the best part! Easy to get in with the code given that day. Really lovely to have the elevator too! Would recommend & happily stay here again. =:)
Dishwasher needs to have detergent.
We did have quite a bit of noise from a club our 1st 2 nights (weekend) because we had to have the windows open to not be too hot. We wound up shutting the windows around 2 am. A small fan was provided in each bedroom by the host, which did help, thankfully!

Voortreffelijke locatie, je loopt zo de high street op in de old town en er zijn veel leuke pubs en restaurants in de buurt.
De douche verdient wat aandacht. Hij hangt erg laag (maar ik ben erg lang dus meer mijn probleem) maar hij blijft niet hangen dus je moet hem in je hand houden om te douchen. Water zou ook wat warmer mogen.
