About this condo rental

Located in Lancaster, this attractive condo for $138 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Built in 1794, and located in Lanaster's historic Musser Park neighborhood, the George Washington (GW) studio is a short walk to everything downtown has to offer. Lancaster's historic district is known for it's colonial architecture and tree-lined streets that provide travelers with a portal into America's past. The studio home is within walking distance to the city's best breweries, dining, shops and more, and has one off street parking space for added convenience. The ‘GW House’ studio was recently restored with tasteful touches throughout. The space hints to a past when things were simpler while highlighting the creature comforts one demands of today's modern spaces. Studio lighting, hardwood floors, and high quality linens ensure a good night's rest, while the smart tv and Xfinity high speed internet provide travelers the peace of mind of staying connected. The shared outdoor area allows guests to interact with other travelers, yet equally provides plenty of space for a more intimate experience. The studio is filled with morning light throughout and offers enough space for four guests to enjoy comfortably. Guests can rest assured knowing the space is professionally cleaned and cared for, and our team is readily available to ensure your experience in staying with us is the absolute very best. The studio entrance is easily accessed by parking in the rear of the home located at 133 E. Marion St. (See check-in link). The second parking space from Marion St. is reserved for the studio. Once parked, enter through the iron gate to the right of the garage, and follow the path to the left of the home, opposite the stairs. All areas of the home are secure and have outdoor security cameras. The entrance to the GW is private and the laundry room and rear outdoor space is shared with other apartment homes on the premise. The laundry area is accessible from the exterior of the home by following the path under the stairs to the door next to the trash & recycling. Commissioned in 1949 and named after Lancaster’s umbrella handle tycoon Henry Musser, the park is a neighborhood favorite that includes plenty of open space, a children’s play area and the Lancaster Museum of Art. The location is walkable to Lancaster’s central market, the convention center, and most downtown area shops and restaurants. The 'GW' has a walk-score of 98, so for those who love an adventure walk - Lancaster is a foot warriors dream! In addition, Lancaster has a network of bike paths with mindful motorists and clearly marked bike lanes throughout the city. The city is inter-connected by rivers, parks, and side alleyways that are sure to leave a lasting impression. For those looking to travel by car, you’ll appreciate the lack of traffic often found in larger metropolitan cities. If you take a car, be mindful of our local horse carriages and buggies often found traveling throughout our community and back-country roads. The home is 420/smoker friendly, but in outside areas only, at least ten feet away from windows and doors.

The apartment was great. We really enjoyed our stay in Lancaster. There wasa one inconvenience. The TV was not functional for the entire stay. We had good communication with property manager, but they were not able to get it working.

Upon arrival of this room I was so uncomfortable that I immediately picked up my bags and left. Room is just "ok," mattress is older and squeaks. Foyer consists of 4 doors: 1 for bedroom; 1 for bathroom; 2 basic, interior doors that attach this room to the 'tenants.' The tenant was coughing profusely, talking, and doing her dishes. I could hear every move she made. There was absolutely no sound barrier whatsoever. I am very safe when it comes to germs because I have two children that have very serious diagnoses and are followed closely by CHOP, so having this woman hacking behind the simple interior door was very alarming for me. I wrote to the homeowners immediately, letting them know that I could not stay there, and kindly asked for refund. They have refused to refund my money.
