A superb apartment, really well appointed & equipped. Please think about your €400 deposit policy

Self catering, very well equipped apartment. Super clean, spotless kitchen, spotless bedrooms and bathroom. Clean linen. All very high quality. Very central location at Place d'Erlon, literally a 5-10 min walk to anywhere in central Reims.

We were staying there on a busy weekend, so the noise from the street was pretty loud (24 hrs) but this is the cost of a central location - nothing you can do about it. There was also a lot of really loud screaming from an apartment very close at all times of the day and night - we tried on a couple of occasions to find where it was coming from as it was driving us mad, but with no success. Very strange, but again, nothing can be done about that. The one thing which could be improved is the €400 deposit which we only found out about after we had booked and paid for the apartment. If a host is going to charge for a deposit (the majority of hosts do not) they really should include it in the upfront costs of renting the apartment, rather than leave it until after it has already been booked and paid for. I understand that it is only a "reserved deposit" and no charge was actually incurred, but you are never quite sure if there is going to be a problem with the deposit being returned (again, I stress that there was absolutely no problem on this occasion getting my deposit back). It just adds an unnecessary level of worry which is why most hosts do not ask for these deposits.

Een groot appartement midden in het centrum. Het appartement is netjes ingericht en heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Een grote keuken met veel materiaal. Ook een fijn balkonnetje met uitzicht op de hoofdstraat.

Doordat het midden in het centrum ligt, wel veel geluiden. Vooral s'nachts.
