The Lamb is in the centre of Ely, very close to the cathedral, which is why we booked it. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We were on the second floor and there are no lifts. It was not a problem for us, but might be for some people, especially with luggage. The breakfast menu was quite extensive. The supper menu was not great for vegetarians.
The bathroom was quite small, with a bath and integrated shower. The shower was not so easy to operate, though once mastered, there was a good volume of hot water. As at many hotels, a small shelf was placed above the wash hand basin, which means you can't really wash your face without your hands hitting the shelf. Silly design!
If you decide to book supper, you can earn a 20% discount if you book directly. I had done this, but the discount was not honoured on the bill (though I should have checked more carefully, but I was in a rush.)

Well present meals, comfy room with large tv. Coffee and tea in the room.
A socket near to bed for charging phone. Large, private car park to rear. Well place for all amenities and attractions.

The buffet was quite good and coffee.
Ordered avocado on toast although minimum ingredients it came at least 5/7 minutes after the rest of the family’s order and didn’t enjoy as it was so bland and flavourless.
