Location and amenities at property what we needed
Steps from car park steep and slippery (but it was heavy rain)

The Royal Standard was perfect just a short walk from the train station.
Very nice welcome shown to room and everything explained the room was really nice and clean and has all you need for a nice comfortable stay.
We also had drinks and food which you couldn’t fault and we both loved the black pudding at breakfast.
All staff were so nice and friendly we will definitely be booking next time we travel back to Ely to visit family.

The room was comfortable & clean. Good sized bathroom was well provisioned. We had dinner, breakfast & lunch at the property because the standard of food was so good and the staff were professional and friendly.
Nothing.

The room was comfortable, but very noisy, because of the proximity to the main road. The bed was very comfortable, but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The windows were covered in dust, as were the lampshades.
The noise from the main road.
