Beautiful view and the onsen

If you like a high hills environment, this place is very nice. The owner is extremely friendly—she came down to greet me when I arrived and even offered an upgrade to a bigger room (which you can easily decline if you don't need it). The room itself was very clean. Overall, it's a nice, peaceful stay.
The slope to the parking area is very steep and dangerous; it is definitely better to drive a normal car here. When I first arrived, there were no lights outside or even in the lobby—I honestly thought I was being scammed lol! It was a bit startling until the owner finally came down. The shower is attached to the onsen, so if you want to shower twice a day, you have to inform them early. There were some water stains on the paper doors, though I didn't mind much. Also, because it's up on a hill, there are very few restaurants nearby—make sure to come prepared with your own food like I did!

It was lovely, warm and quiet. The room was a bit old but tidy and clean. The tatami was recently replaced.
The manager was friendly and she can speak fluent English. She introduced the facilities and the rules clearly and she was really helpful. The scenery outside the room was superb!
The private hot spring was qualified with certificate which was impressive. (i stayed another hot spring hotel with fake hot spring in the night before)
It was more like a hostel rather than a hotel. No toilets or bathroom in the room. Please adjust the expectation.
The shower room was shared with the hot spring. You need to book the time slot with the manager. You also need to share the toilets but I was fine with this.
Restaurants were a bit far away. Better to catch the cable trams to travel between the hostel and Goro station before 6pm. You can also grab a taxi but you need 1 min uphill walk back to the hostel as taxis cannot stop in front.
