We loved the location, the set up and really loved the pool! The owners were very nice and thoughtful! We can’t wait to come and stay again!
My dinner was just a little to salty but the service was excellent and they fit in our party last minute so I for sure wasn’t complaining

Quaint old building but really well maintained. Great location especially if you want to ski. The land size is large so apparently summer is fun too. Absolutely charming setting and great hosts.

When we booked the Inn, we looked forward to staying at a charming country. The Blue Bear Inn is indeed a charming country inn with restaurant and tavern. The serve a simple continental breakfast each morning. We truly appreciated the setting and atmosphere. However, our experience was significantly impacted by the lack of quiet hours and supervision during our stay.
Our experience was significantly impacted by the lack of quiet hours and supervision. While the restaurant and tavern close at 9:00 PM, the inn did not establish or enforce quiet hours.
The Inn was hosting a youth field hockey team with children approximately 7–9 years old. Both evenings, the children were permitted to run through the hallways, yell loudly, bang on walls, and play in common areas until nearly 10:00 PM. At one point, plastic tubes had been stretched across the hallway, preventing easy access to one of our rooms, and children were also playing on the staircase directly outside another room late into the evening.
The parents appeared pleasant, but there seemed to be little effort made to contain the noise or activity level. More concerning was that the inn staff did not establish or enforce any quiet hours out of consideration for other guests trying to relax or sleep.
The property itself has great charm and potential, but for guests seeking a peaceful country inn experience, clearer expectations around evening behavior and quiet time would make a substantial difference.
