Loved the lodge itself, the pictures don't do it justice! The views are beautiful and it feels super cozy and well laid out. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch, thank you.

Nothing we didn't like, but the lodge is in a rural location so keep that in mind when booking, Great for a switch off holiday!

Fantastic lodge in a fantastic location. Quiet, great views, very private, not overlooked at all, yet one minute walk from a great pub, serving excellent food. Was exceptionally clean, large hot tub, comfortable beds, top notch kitchen and bathroom facilities with the unexpected bonus of a Tassimo coffee machine. We booked in for food at the pub on the first night, were so impressed with things that we went again on the second night. Wide range of good pub food and drink. We walked up nearby Merbach Hill which was well signed and offered great views. Then continued the walk to Brobury Gardens which were very picturesque with a great cafe. The walk back kept to the flatter ground! Nearby Hay on Wye is also worth a visit - we went after checking out. Recommend the cafe at the castle. If, like us, you're looking for a quiet hot tub getaway but want to be able to walk out for food and drink then this is the perfect place.
