Situated in Mendocino County, this charming farm stay for $364 per night is a great choice for your next break. A serene and completely private property for you and your group to enjoy. This unique property has walkable access directly into downtown Point Arena as well as the 22,000 acres of cliffside trails at the Stornetta National Monument. You'll enjoy a rustic cedar farmhouse with a massive kitchen, wood-burning stove, design library, backyard fire-pit, outdoor shower/bath, and your own private pond with canoe. Magical memorable energy awaits. _______ This is a glorious home full of light and a special place to us. It's rustic, nicely appointed, but simple. A good place to sit by the fire at night, enjoy a meal in the backyard with your family, take in the stars, hang out in the canoe, or enjoy a full moon stroll through a field. You'll be all alone on the property, feeling very rural and peaceful. Yet, at the same time, we're adjacent to town so you can easily pop down to the pier to get a pizza or go fishing, see a movie at the historic theater, or get groceries at the co-op. If you walk for 15 min (or 2 min drive) you'll be at the trailhead to the coastal bluffs and can run, bike, or walk along the ocean and see glorious sunsets, whales, and hunt for mushrooms. At the same time there are several sandy beaches within a 15 min drive of the property. We're also next door to Point Arena High School, so you can use the soccer/football fields, basketball hoop, or tennis court in the afternoons or weekends. > The Farmhouse has 5 bedrooms. A library is connected as part of the master suite and could be used as a bedroom extension with our mattress pads, depending on your guest count and desired accommodations. We have a new pack-n-play for infants/young ones if you need it. There are 2 full bathrooms upstairs. one of them is within the master suite, but the bedroom door can be closed to allow access to that bathroom for others if you want. Downstairs there is a half bathroom, and there is an outdoor bath and shower off the back deck downstairs. > for 2-3 months of the year (usually February and March) we have a small herd of beautiful cows enjoying the property munching the grass. They are away from the house and have never caused problems for guests. We'll loop you in on more info if your stay will overlap with theirs.

This place was perfect in so many ways - rustic and comfortable, totally quiet except for the many birds, incredible books, excellent beds, giant kitchen, beauty from every window. Our family had an excellent time exploring the land and the nearby town, lighthouse and beaches. Jen and Ben were prompt and generous in their responses to our needs, both remotely and in person, and went the extra mile to provide us with information about the area. One of the most relaxing places I've stayed, the quiet is profound. We will definitely be back!

My family and I really enjoyed staying at the farmhouse! I had good communication with the host while I was booking the reservation. He answered my questions and was very friendly and available. The property is very relaxing, with many different features to promote relaxation: the outdoor tub, the hammocks, the canoe/pond, the piano, the firepit, the rock room, walks in the fields - we loved it all. The view from the kitchen is even nicer than in the photos. We spent time in Point Arena, went to the movie theater, restaurants, and the library. We tried to check out a cool secondhand clothing store, but it appears to only be open once a month. Of course we went to the lighthouse and Stornetta Lands - both highlights of the trip. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway.

We live in the city, so this beautiful property was just what the dr ordered for a getaway! The property is stunning, the house is beautifully built and furnished with unique pieces. It met our expectations perfectly. Note: this is a wood cabin so expect some dirt, bugs and spiderwebs. It’s part of the package.
