Ideally tucked away on a large piece of property accented by beautiful oaks, this is the perfect place to bring your boat and bike trailers along on your vacation. A marina with canoe rentals, fishing gear, and kayak canoe launch is just a short walk or drive away. Anchors Away River House has been freshly renovated, while maintaining the unique character and charm of an "Old Florida" home. Whip up delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Dine together or play a few board games at the table for six located on the screened front porch. For sleeping options, there are three cozy bedrooms in this home. Each bedroom offers a grand view of the intracoastal. Two bedrooms offer plush queen size beds. The third bedroom is kid friendly offering a full over twin bunk bed and a single bed with trundle.There is more than enough room for everyone to get a comfortable night's rest from the day's activities. At the end of the day, roast marshmallows, tell stories around the fire pit, or just simply relax and enjoy the outdoor hammock as the stars come out to dot the sky. In addition, take in a little history during your stay as all of the sights and activities of Historic St. Augustine are located within a 15 minute drive of the home. Home was great. We wished we had more time to stay. If you want to see an old style Florida river home this is it. I am a multi generation floridian and feltl like i was back at my grandparents home except now with all the modern amenities. Great for families and close to old St Augustine

Traveled with family and friends. There was six of us in total and this house was the perfect size for us!! The views were breath taking and the home was so comfortable it really felt like a home away from home! We definitely plan on staying here again!

What a lovely, peaceful place to relax. You can watch the boats and birds go by from the couch, or the patio. This is an older house in a natural Florida setting, so you will see some ants. The AC works very well, but is a little noisy upstairs. Bedding was clean and comfy, kitchen had everything we needed.

Grand location. Beaches close were less populated and nice. Would recommend fixing the screens to decrease mosquitoes from screen porch. Enjoyed family time.

This house was conveniently located. It was a short walk to the beach. There are a few grocery stores a short drive away. The commute to the historic district of St Augustine was a very easy drive across the bridge. And the sunsets were beautiful on the back patio overlooking the river.

Very beautiful view out back. All of the bedding and towels were clean and in bulk. Close to the main beaches and not very far from historic down town Saint Augustine. Would stay again for sure.

Hosts made this so easy. Great response time. They thought of everything. Plenty of nice pillows, blankets and towels. A very well equipped kitchen. We loved the firepit and the breeze from the water. Every bed has a quality mattress so a good night's sleep was had by all. "Starter/staple" items such as salt, pepper, sugar, paper products, etc., ended up coming in clutch. 😅 The place was clean, booking, check-in, and check-out was super easy. This is how vacations should be...relaxing and peaceful. Thank you so much.

the best thing about this house is the location. Matanzas river right out back is nice if you have a kayak or jetski. The beach is less than 2 minutes and you can drive on with 4x4. Everything worked well except for the dishwasher and it was OK.
