We had a great stay at Glenbardie House - our first trip since the pandemic began, and a chance to come home and see family. The house is a beautiful old Victorian home just 100 meters from the town center. Lots of room, and a joy to have a real fire in the evenings. We enjoyed coffee and shopping in town, along with the occasional pint in the Balmoral Bar., trips to Braemar, Aboyne, Banchory, Stonehaven, and Aberdeen. Would definitely recommend and will return if the opportunity presents. Many Thanks, Angela and Reesha!

The property was fantastic. Plenty of room for all 11 of us, 6 adults and 5 children. Pool room was a bonus. Proximity to the town and walks was ideal. We loved Ballater, the cafes were welcoming and the people very friendly. We used the local butchers for our Christmas Dinner, after all if it’s good enough for the Queen! We made use of the riverside walks and the viewpoint walks. Balmoral was closed to the public so we couldn’t visit. However we did drive 20mins to Letch where we managed to ski on the training slopes and sledge, it was fun. The dining room was great for a large group. An Indian, Chinese and fish and chip shop within walking distance, all very good. The fire in the living room was lovely, with plenty of coal and wood for our stay. The only negatives were that the oven didn’t quite work very well, so we couldn’t do the type of cooking we wanted to, but with the good food in the town, it didn’t detract from the great week. Also there wasn’t always hot water and we had to do a bit of a shower rota, but again this wouldn’t put us off from booking again. If these could be put right we would say it was the most perfect stay. Overall we had a fantastic time, 3 families, lots of room, plenty of relaxing time, just what we all needed. The property was really clean and tidy and the communication was faultless. Wonderful!

We had a fantastic time staying at Glenbardie. Accommodation was great for the whole family with ensuites and space thar suited three generations. Location was fantastic, close to lovely shops and lots of fantastic walks. Even the rain couldn't dampen our spirits. Only downside for us was not having a secure fence around the whole property to let the dogs run free. Susan and her team were very friendly. Would recommend and hope to return.
