Sigiriya Bliss Hotel

We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better stay! This place is an absolute gem in Sri Lanka, and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya. Especially if you’re backpacking around Sri Lanka and looking for a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and recharge for a few days, this is the perfect spot! What makes this place truly special is the people. Everyone is incredibly kind, welcoming, helpful and genuinely caring. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they are always happy to help, think along with you and make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Their hospitality is something we will never forget. We felt so welcome from the very first moment! The breakfast is absolutely fantastic! Everything is fresh, delicious and prepared with so much care. We especially loved the amazing tea and all the fresh tropical fruit, much of which actually grows in their own garden! They also make the most delicious fresh smoothies throughout the day. And if you don’t feel like going out for dinner, you can enjoy some really tasty food right at the hotel. The swimming pool is another highlight. It’s the perfect place to relax on one of the comfortable sun loungers, surrounded by beautiful nature and with an incredible view of both Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock. You can even climb these rocks during your stay, which we highly recommend! The staff can arrange a tuk-tuk to take you there early in the morning. When we went, they even prepared a takeaway breakfast for us to enjoy on top of the rock. Such a thoughtful and lovely gesture that perfectly shows how much they care about their guests! Our room was absolutely beautiful as well. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower was great, and having our own jacuzzi bath made it feel even more luxurious. We also had a lovely balcony overlooking the peaceful green fields. Waking up to those views was just amazing! Everything about this place feels peaceful, comfortable and special.

We stayed here for two nights and felt completely at home from the moment we arrived. What made our stay truly special was the incredible service of Dulanja, Asanka and the whole team. From the security staff and receptionists to the waiters and head chef – every single person was genuinely warm, attentive and helpful. Honestly, this was some of the best and most personal service we’ve ever experienced in a hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a lovely garden, a great pool and an amazing view of Lion Rock. Our room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated, and all the rooms have a view of the rock. We also had dinner at the restaurant and really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. We were genuinely sad to leave and would come back in a heartbeat. If you’re currently looking for a hotel in Sigiriya, you can stop searching now and book this one – you won’t regret it! :)
