Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im La Cloudz in Sigiriya. Das Hotel ist sehr atmosphärisch, stilvoll gestaltet und ausgesprochen gepflegt. Die komfortablen Blockhütten sind wunderschön in die Natur eingebettet – ein besonderes Highlight war für uns das Outdoorbadezimmer. Auch die Poolanlage ist sehr schön und lädt nach Ausflügen rund um Sigiriya perfekt zum Entspannen ein. Auch für den Tripp morgens früh zum Sigirya Rock liegt das Hotel gut.
Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits, mitten in der Natur, umgeben von einem See, Reisfeldern und einem einheimischen Dorf. Genau das macht den besonderen Charme aus: ruhig, idyllisch und sehr authentisch. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, und auch der Nachmittags-Tee mit Gebäck war eine sehr schöne Aufmerksamkeit.
Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das gesamte Personal und insbesondere die Hotelmanagerin. Alle waren unglaublich hilfsbereit, aufmerksam und freundlich. Für unsere Aktivitäten haben wir sehr gute Tipps bekommen, und vieles wurde direkt für uns organisiert. Unsere Tochter hatte zwar erst einige Tage später Geburtstag, trotzdem wurden wir mit einem Geburtstagskuchen überrascht – eine wirklich liebevolle Geste. Auch bei einer gesundheitlichen Sache wurde uns sofort geholfen und schnell ein Arzt organisiert.
Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können das La Cloudz uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Ein wunderschöner, besonderer Ort in Sigiriya.

C’est un bel hôtel, neuf, bien entretenu, nettoyé en permanence par les équipes et avec une piscine très agréables avec les fortes chaleurs.
L’hôtel est cher par rapport aux prix pratiqués au Sri Lanka. Pour ce prix nous nous attendons à un certain standing.
Pas de frigo dans la chambre, pas de sèche cheveux, pas de bouilloire. Le personnel du bar restaurant ne parle pas anglais et plusieurs erreurs ont été faites sur nos commandes. En parlant du restaurant, les prix pratiqués sont exorbitants ! Pour une cuisine qui n’est vraiment pas exceptionnelle. Le petit déjeuné, non inclu, a 12$ par personne et par jour est inapproprié pour des nuits à ce prix et les quantités ne sont pas la. De même pour les plats qui sont en quantité assez restreintes pour les prix et comparés à d’autres hôtel que nous avons pu faire au cours de notre séjour.
Je ne sais pas si je recommanderai cet hôtel.
De même, balayer les pas de porte à 7h30 du matin chaque matin en tapant les plinthes n’a pas été très reposant.
