The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you may need for a nice, relaxing getaway from the city. It is surrounded by nature, which makes the atmosphere very peaceful and relaxing. The place itself was pleasant, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Delivery apps also worked well and were very helpful during our stay.
I would not recommend staying here without your own car, as almost everything is quite far. The nearest bus stop is around a 15-minute walk away, and there is no direct access to the shores of Loch Lomond. You need to walk for at least 10 minutes to reach the lake. There are no restaurants or grocery stores nearby, so getting food or basic essentials can take some time. There is also no taxi rank nearby, and if you need a taxi, you have to call a local cab company. The reception is not always available, and we found that the information and recommendations they could provide were mainly limited to the immediate local area.

Lodge was great, the onsite restaurant and view were amazing.
Metres from a main road which meant we couldn’t open windows in the bedroom. We value honesty and would have been best to state this in booking and perhaps offer those lodges at a different price to aid awareness. I would have paid more not to have our lodge location. Felt a little dishonest not to state on booking or check-in.
